Maybe that's the point and why negotations are taking a while per that article? I'm sure if everyone reads the headline of Jonah Hill joining Batman they'd assume Penguin.

He’s a decent enough actor but I'm not sure if I really see him as either Penguin or Riddler personally.

If he does sign, I'm hoping Hill plays a villain we haven't seen on the big screen yet like Clayface. I don't know if that'd be too fantastic for what Reeves has in mind, but if he's going for a more grounded approach then maybe Hill can be Hugo Strange or the Clock King (the one from BTAS not the 1966 live action series).

Reeves was probably stoked to follow up the last batch of Batman material. All it took was a Joker movie to raise expectations back up.

Don't even know anything about her as an actress. Looking at her filmography the only thing I'd have seen her in is X-Men: First Class, but I wouldn't know who she is without searching for a screenshot.

Eh I honestly have very little interest in Fury Road. Don’t care much about Mad Max in general. I remember hearing about Dope but never watched it.

I​​​​​n general though I like Kravitz, she's a good actress (or at least has screen presence) and seems like she didn't let having famous parents get to her head too too much.

Here's her ASMR Beer commercial from the Super Bowl. I thought it was pretty cool.
Also you should see Big Little Lies, at least Season 1 which was pretty fun and she was great in.
