Hell, let's have Beckensale in this, too.

Ummm...okay. It looks okay. Unless they’re taking it in a wildly different direction, it’s hard to get too excited about another Batman costume these days.

I love the costume. The cowl looks like it takes from Adam West, while the suit pulls from the Arkham games and the collar gives it a vampiric element, while the whole test ties it all together with a very noir-ish feel. It's also reminding me of Darren Aronofsky's script for Batman, if anyone is familiar with that (I think that might also be where a lot of rumors are springing from).

I can't keep track here... is this a continuation of or prequel to the Ben Affleck Batman, or a complete reboot?

I’m fairly certain that it’s something completely separate. Not even sure it’s meant to tie into the larger DCEU.

The last real Batman film in my book is The Dark Knight Rises. So eight years between films after one version wrapped up isn’t bad.

I don’t even really count Affleck Batman in a weird way. He was essentially the costar of two films. There wasn’t enough time with him and he didn’t have his own film. To me he’s more like an asterisk in the history of Batman I’m film. He was good but I’m glad his era is done at the same time.

I’m sure they could, but doubtful they ever will.

The warehouse fight scene in BvS gave us a little glimpse of how awesome Affleck could have been as Batman. Unfortunately, we never got much beyond that.

I think RP is going to rock. Also, they don't even show you the top of cowl and the bottom of suit, or cape. Also, the gun emblem is awesome.

The emblem sucks. That’s actually my least favorite thing about it. I just think the fact that he’s literally wearing them is kinda goofy. The comic page I posted where he melted the gun down and used that metal to make a Bat emblem works better for me just because it doesn’t look as silly. That and I don’t like the collar on the cape.

From what I can tell if the cowl I don’t like it. But I saw a better image of the emblem and the suit it black...I like it! The origin sounds kinda dumb just reading about it, but I think it makes this version more unique. I like how it makes him seem even more anti-gun.

The mask reminds me a lot of Zorro...
Could they finally be incorporating that into his (movie) origin? As long as we don't have to see it again. Although I'd be fine with a nice conversation as they leave the film. They can just leave it at them walking into an alley.

hopefully the gun emblem isn’t true. I don’t think it looks particularly bad, I just think it’s a stupid idea.

The weird thing is, is that to me, the chest and gun/bat emblem look like some tactical gear inspired by the Batman Arkham games. But the collar and mask look like Zorro. It's like one part of it is an old fashioned costume from the 1930s and the other part is a modern/futuristic.
The broken gun being the bat logo does sound kind of dumb. Like he's Anti-Gun Man instead of Batman. But I'm sure when if they go that route they'll present it in a way that works. All you need is some good serious or ominous music to play while he's constructing the emblem from a disassembled gun and it'll be taken seriously. Kind of like the construction of Freddy's glove or the repair of Kylo Ren's mask. Honestly, that new addition to Batman is the one thing that has be kind of interested in this movie now.
