Meh I guess the name is whatever. Not bad but kind of bland. Sort of sounds like not a lot of thought went into it or they couldn't come up with something better. I don't mind the anthology films using the "A Star Wars Story" subtitle though. It differentiates them from the main saga which also all have Episode fill in the blank so I don't see it as that different.

I mean I guess if you need it spelled right out if the marketing doesn't get the point across (which who are we kidding, it will). At the end of the day it's just a title but I feel like it could have been better.

Maybe he'll be separated from Chewie and Lando for a while and have to be on his own for a while, which he remembers later when he meets Luke/Leia later and comes back to help.
"Solo" isn't just his name, but a description of how he's alone for a while.

Kessel Run would've been a better title, but I guess that was too inside baseball to hardcore fans.

They had to add A Star Wars Story to the title in order to prevent people from confusing it with Salo

As long as we get a scene of a young Han herding Nerfs. So people can scream “OMG, Lucas had it planned the whole time!!”
And I can’t be the only one super excited for Blubbering Fat Guy who Owned the Rancor: A Star Wars Story, can I?

With each announcement I get more and more ... oh hell, who am I kidding? I just am not getting excited for this at all. Each piece should sound good when they announce it, but the whole thing just comes off as troubled, bland, and trying too hard. I hope I am wrong. I will be there the first weekend, but I am just not stoked.
So, "A Star Wars Story" (which sounds like an appropriate moniker for the holiday special) was intended to apply to stories outside the "anthology" (which really isn't an anthology at all) ... but so far the stories have been a direct prequel and the "origin" story of one of the main characters.

To clarify (for those who apparently don't understand), an anthology is a collection of stories that can each stand alone. The Twilight Zone was an anthology TV series.
It would make no sense to use the word "Anthology" as part of the title of the individual films in the Anthology Series. Each film is not an anthology, it is a story. Together, the stories form an anthology.

No, the "Star Wars Story" films ARE the Anthology Series films. The core "Episode" films are the Saga films.

Sorry and thank you -- I misread Mike86's post and was trying to make the same point -- but I did poorly while I was too focused on an abysmal baseball game last night.
