Why So Blu?

Since I didn't want to derail the amazon deal page (Dope was on sale yesterday for $6.96 on BD) I thought I'd move it over here for further discussion.

Yeah, I thought the film was fantastic and was easily one of the best of 2015 - if I had seen it in theaters it would most likely have made my list.

I keep reading about folks not liking the ending the ending but I will assume that those folks are not black and never had to deal with what our lead actor had to do deal with. Preachy my ass.

In any event I'm glad I was able to score the BD for that low of price. Also, the film cost $700,000 and made about 15 million in ticket sales. Not a bad return on investment there.

Preachy or not, the way it they tried to deliver their message was heavy handed. It's a common issue that even the most well respected directors get called out for.

Otherwise it is a damn solid movie.
