Weird and Wonderful Movies That You'll Never Get to See

^I ran into that article while doing some research on a film that I "watched" on the previous exploitation challenge we had here. Ingagi, to be exact.

Some very interesting films in that list (Hu-Man and The Strange Case of Captain Ramper sound particularly cool) And it's a no-brainer that any Batman completist would love to get a hold of Batman-Dracula.

Have you seen INGAGI...?

I see a couple of 1970s prize-winners on that list - are they merely "unavailable," or is everything there presumed "lost"..? Because clearly some are considered lost, some horribly legally entangled, but others hopefully merely obscure..

The list was a good starting point, but some of the entries were very light on info. I ended up doing a lot of Googling for more info.

One that wasn't on the list was the lost version of Andrei Tarkovsky's "Stalker". He completed the film, the film stock was destroyed and so he ended up reshooting the entire film with the final film being completly different than the film he originally shot.

He original cuts of the original Star Wars trilogy :deadhorse:.

In all seriousness, it's cliche at this point, but I'd say Blatty's cut of Exorcist III: Legion. Kermode's attempts at finding the lost footage have come to nothing, it sounds like it's just never going to come to light. And there's no audiobook either ;).

That KING KONG IN EDO film is the one I'd most want to see.

In film school, a classmate once insisted there was an actual Italian film called GODZILLA GOES TO ROME.

My uncle, who once worked in the film industry (he was a grip on Orson Welles' MACBETH), once told me that Bing Crosby and Bob Hope shot a "Road to..." film that was shelved and never released. I've never found any confirmation of that.

Wonderful. Not so much. :)
