take into account the credits and probably looking at 80 minutes huh? sounds like a good rental. i didn't care for Hot Rod, but i do love Andy Samberg.

Saw it . Still hurting from laughing so hard. Might be a bit too inside for today's average comedy viewer, but I loved it. Will definitely be adding this to my collection.

The studio's new Andy Samberg pic Popstar was utterly rejected by paying audiences opening poorly in eighth place with an estimated $4.6M from a nationwide bow in 2,311 locations for a lousy $2,004 average. Critics were pleased for the most part, but regular moviegoers saw no reason to come out and spend their money. Those that did were only moderately pleased as evidenced by the so-so B CinemaScore. Demos showed that the crowd was 60% male, 55% under 25, and 67% white. For ages, Hollywood has blindly given away financing plus marketing/distribution support to films aimed at young men thinking there is a gold mine there. But Popstar follows this year's Keanu, Hardcore Henry, Triple 9, and The Brothers Grimsby as original R-rated content aimed at this demographic that just failed to draw in crowds at the box office.

Finally rented this last night and really liked it. The limo scene had me in tears from laughing so hard, and the TMZ parodies were great. I agree it felt a little dragging at times (even with the short run time), but the big laughs more than make up for it. Would highly recommend, especially if you're already a Lonely Island fan.

This was actually a pretty decent satire of the music industry. Not all the jokes hit, some woefully misfired, but I did laugh or snicker regularly. The songs were hilarious.

Was amazed at how much I disliked this movie. Turned it off after 30 minutes or so. There definitely was some funny stuff in there. Some of the faux interviews were pretty good. I just don't find endless swearing funny after the first couple times. This just kept going back to the same well. The first time it showed them as kids doing a curse filled rap I found it funny. By the third time I found it tiresome. Also, after the first few seconds of f-bombs you get the idea, they didn't need to do two or three minute songs of it. I know this got some pretty good reviews. I know many people find unlimited f-bombs funny. If you do you will love this movie.

The musical numbers and cameos by music industry celebrities were hilarious. Too bad the rest of the film wasn't as funny.

I enjoyed this for what it was. A few good solid laughs throughout. Not gonna set the world on fire, but I have seen a lot worse. A 7/10 movie.

I just caught this on HBO Max. It’s a very stupid, but fun mockumentary with some great cameos. I’m sorry it took me this long and I love Samberg and Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Very fun. Silly, but made just right.

Funny, I just watched this the other night for the first time. I was definitely entertained (love Samberg). The gay support video with P!nk had me

It's on of my go-to "put this on the in the background" movies. I love it.
They did different vinyl covers for the soundtrack - I got the Styleboyz one but there's also a Conner4Real and a Thriller, Also version
