DC Films’ Aquaman will begin filming this week at Village Roadshow Studios in Queensland, Australia.
The new comes from an article in the Courier Mail about the push to authorize more tax rebates to attract more Hollywood Studios to the area for filming.
“The Premier [Annastacia Palaszczuk] is calling on the Federal Government to significantly boost tax incentives for big budget movies to help the Gold Coast become the next ‘Hollywood’.
“The filming of blockbuster Aquaman, starting this week at Village Roadshow Studios, will create more than 600 jobs and inject more than $100 million into the local economy as the city further cements its reputation as a filming destination.”

I'm not well versed in the Aquaman universe either outside of the animated movies I've seen so I know of Ocean Master and Black Manta.

Even if I'm watching the movie in theaters on opening night, I doubt this thing will happen until I see closing credits.

Probably going to be the first(hopefully not only) film of the Geoff Johns-run DCEU.

Oh you're pretty clever.. There's obviously a clear difference between a film that's actually out in less than a month not being advertised much versus a film that's not even in production and isn't out for over a year and a half.
As far as the film goes I actually think Aquaman is one of the standout aspects of the Justice League trailer so I'm kind of interested. I've actually always kind of liked the character too.
