Disney's Mulan (2020, D: Niki Caro) -- live action
This was my guess for the next adaption.
On the heels of the magical success of Disney's live-action Cinderella, the studio is eyeing another live-action retelling: Mulan. Disney bought a script by writing team Elizabeth Martin and Lauren Hynek that centers on the Chinese legend of Hua Mulan, the female warrior who was the main character in Disney's 1998 animated film. Chris Bender and J.C. Spink (We're the Millers) are producing the new project. |

Hong Kong and China have already done a ton of live-action Mulans. This one with Vicki Zhao Wei was pretty good:

Didn't we have a thread on the one Ash is talking about? It looked good. I need to read that story. It's always interested cuz of the gender issues and the actions done from what I can tell in the general story.

I actually wouldn't mind a remake of Pete's Dragon. Of course CGI Elliot that actually looks like he could be there instead of an obvious cartoon dragon.

I'm looking forward to a live action Aladdin, the lead preferably cast by either Chris Pratt, Michael B. Jordan, or Karl Urban.
