Is Elsa getting a girlfriend in this one?

That was just some BS internet rumors. Anyone who thinks Disney would make Elsa gay is crazy. Imagine the outrage that would spark among parents.

I hope she gets to find Frozone so he can teach her how to use her powers better.

Re: Disney's Frozen 2 (11/22/19)

Most of the internet rumors I've seen are that the new characters are
Spoiler:
Anna and Elsa's parents when they first met
Makes sense to me. No way Elsa is gay, sorry.

Re: Disney's Frozen 2 (11/22/19)

I didn't realize how BIG the movie "Frozen" is for Disney until I moved to Florida and started going back to the Disney theme parks again. Disney has Frozen attractions at 2 of its theme parks, Hollywood Studios and Epcot (yes, Epcot). The "Frozen Sing-Along" auditorium at Hollywood Studios is always crowded and the "Frozen Ever After" ride is the #1 most popular attraction at Epcot (and will probably remain #1 until the Guardians of the Galaxy rollercoaster opens there in 2021). They even have a place where visitors can take photos with the characters Anna and Elsa at Epcot (about half of the Norway pavilion in Epcot has been transformed into the Frozen pavilion). Seeing the overwhelming popularity of "Frozen" there surprised me because, even though I like the movie, I didn't know it was such a beloved movie until visiting the parks. So, yeah, it makes complete sense to me that Disney would make Frozen sequels to buld upon this valuable property they have.

I don’t think it was a rumor, just a sort of hashtag movement on social media, which got some support from at least one of the actors.

At any rate, the song “Let it Go” might as well be a gay anthem.

And I still don't get it, despite having 3 daughters who were the right age when it came out. It was fine, it was just nothing special and was never this big thing in our household. We don't own any Frozen merchandise apart from the Blu-ray, and it was never played on loop in our house, like some other movies were. The Lego Movie got way more play than this.

Re: Disney's Frozen 2 (11/22/19)

Every kid around seemed fascinated with Frozen when it came out. We heard the "Let it Go" song for many years all over the radio, etc... and thought the fandom over it would never die down. It's by far THE most popular Disney animated film of the kids of this generation. o.o

Not just my daughter, but even my nephew wore the movie out.

I'm surprised that there are people who didn't know how big Frozen was, it was huge at the box office and merchandise and Let it Go were basically everywhere.

Re: Disney's Frozen 2 (11/22/19)

Why was Elsa born with magical powers? The answer is calling her and threatening her kingdom. Together with Anna, Kristoff, Olaf and Sven, she'll set out on a dangerous but remarkable journey. In “Frozen,” Elsa feared her powers were too much for the world. In “Frozen 2,” she must hope they are enough. From the Academy Award®-winning team—directors Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck, producer Peter Del Vecho and songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez—and featuring the voices of Idina Menzel, Kristen Bell, Jonathan Groff and Josh Gad, “Frozen 2” opens in U.S. theaters on Nov. 22, 2019.

I really don't like the first one. I suppose the kids will want to see this one. Ugh.

You think was was made for us adults? Silly....

My daughter just screamed when watching the trailer.

From what I can tell, this seems like another X-Men origin story.

Re: Disney's Frozen 2 (11/22/19)

My kids never really liked Frozen. This will probably be the film that breaks our tradition of going to see the new Disney/Pixar animated film as a family on Black Friday, which we have been doing since the release of The Good Dinosaur in 2015.

This isn't to say that I won't see it, my youngest might still want to go, but I'm thinking that the older two might not want to (and probably not my wife either).

The first one was a better X-Men movie than most of the actual X-Men movies.
