Been hearing good things about this one, and it's good to see the girl from The Guest already in another genre film.

Going to a midnight screening of this at Sundance. I quite enjoyed the director's (non-horror) Myth of the American Sleepover, and I've also heard really good things about this one.

Local theater started promoting this last week, looks fun.
Good to see Maika Monroe in another flick.
This also has a 98% on Rottentomatoes, 40 recommendations, 1 negative.

Just giving one a heads up, this is opening wider this week and is currently at 96% at rotten tomatoes.

I don't understand how crap like Ouiji and annabelle can get wide release with less star power and awful reviews, while this is struggling to even been seen in theaters.
The trailer totally gives off a Donnie Darko vibe to me.

That looks pretty spooky. I will check it out on home video so I can hide behind a pillow if I have to.

I just saw on the facebook page that Nicholas Winding Refn is presenting... the soundtrack to this movie, on vinyl http://store.milanrecords.com/it-follows-ost-lp.html
3/27 is the VoD date according to numerous sources, and the release this weekend is very limited, 4 theaters in total.
Another poster:
AVClub.com gave this an A. That is surprisingly rare for a movie on that site.

Not entirely.
Drag Me to Hell got a 92% back in 2009 with 239 reviews, didn't care for that one, but this looks to be pretty different.
The Babadook got a 98% just last year with 162 reviews, and that movie is as divisive as any here.
Cabin in the Woods got a 91% with 243 reviews, and again very divisive.
I'm having a tough time figuring out the critic/audience split these days. I really enjoyed The Guest (2014), that got a 90% on Rottentomatoes and a 67% audience score, and I'm the only one I know of around here (being not on the internet) that has seen it and actually really liked it.
Also to note, Horror seems to be a favored genre for critics. Since good ones tend to focus on atmosphere and direction over other aspects that bog down pacing

I won't mind driving to Dallas for this one, so I shouldn't be stuck with VOD after all.

I just saw this tonight at the Arclight in Hollywood and it was a pretty disturbing flick. It's this year's Under the Skin. The directing really reminded me of John Carpenter/Jonathan Glazer. The score was pretty phenomenal, too. I saw that Edgar Wright moderated a discussion with the director but that wasn't at my screening.
I will say that
Then again, I need to watch it again, because there's tons of things that I probably missed on my initial viewing.

I wasn't really referring to on here with that one. Movie geeks were good with it, casual viewers seemed to have a different opinion entirely.
