LITTLE MONSTERS follows Dave (Alexander England), a washed-up musician who volunteers to chaperone his nephew’s kindergarten class field trip after taking a serious liking to the fearless schoolteacher, Miss Caroline (Lupita Nyong’o). Dave’s intentions are complicated by the presence of the world’s most famous kids’ show personality and competition for Miss Caroline’s affections, Teddy McGiggle (Josh Gad).
One thing none of them bargained for, however, is a sudden zombie outbreak. Will Dave rise to the occasion and have a chance at Miss Caroline’s heart, or will the zombies get there first?
Written and Directed by Abe Forsythe
Starring Alexander England, Lupita Nyong'o, Josh Gad, and Diesel La Torraca

What about Fred Savage?
There have been a lot of movies lately using already-used titles.

Copyright and Trademark don’t apply to book and movie titles, except in cases where the title is something like Batman or Superman.

I am hopeful that the fact that the project lured both Nyong'o and Josh Gad in means that the script is rock solid.

It looks like Neon and Hulu picked up US rights and it will be on Hulu this Friday.

I really enjoyed this.
I think the kid performances in this were some of the best I’ve seen in a while.

This is my preferred Lupita Nyong'o horror flick this year.

Currently watching. It’s slowing down in the middle, but I’ve already been won by it. ^Im in agreement with Rich on that, as well.

Put this on last night but had to shut it off about 20 minutes in because special needs Matt Damon was too much of an insufferable twat. Even just the opening sequence of the arguing went on way too long. When the next 20 minutes was just unrelenting man-child behavior, I had to stop.
Came here to see what others had to say ... based on that I gave it another run this morning. There is a lot to like here, but Uncle Dave sucks the air out of everything until the character finally settles in. I think it was more over-writing of the character than the acting. I understand you want Dave to have a redemption arc, but they pushed him too far in his setup. I just didn’t give a damn about him.
Lupita was fantastic and the kids were really fun. There were some great ideas that I haven’t seen in a zombie film, such as the petting zoo setting which added to the story without going ridiculous (no, they thankfully didn’t go “zombie animals”, though the zombies did eat a few funny animals).
The frog puppet, OMG that was funny!
I would recommend this, but I would say skip the first 15-20 minutes.
