Wow. I had no idea that Harold-Kumar/Christmas was so widely seen here....In theaters, no less.

Nope. 3d movies themselves are nothing more than a gimmick, designed to seperate people from tehir hard earned money.

No. To be honest, I've given 3-D a fair chance, and I haven't ever seen a film and thought 3-D was so necessary a part of the experience that I'd lose something if I didn't see it that way.

The criticisms you see with 3D haters are literally the same criticisms you see when you deal with sound/talkies, color, widescreen, stereo sound and surround sound.

3D isn't a new technology, though. It's been around for decades.

I'm a big fan of 3D movies and always buy that version on Blu ray even if the 3D effects aren't all that wonderful. 3D movies are a different way to experience cinema. (Even the great Martin Scorsese dabbled in 3D with Hugo.) Frankly, I don't understand some of the commentators' backlash against the format.

I've also imported many 3D films from other countries because they didn't get a 3D release in this country.

Many people complain that 3D movies are too dark, but I haven't experienced that problem. You have to make sure your TV is calibrated for both regular and 3D viewings and switch between them as needed.

Long live 3D movies!!!

I think a lot of the 3D haters have only seen 3D in the theater, where you're at the mercy of the staff and equipment as to whether you are going to have a decent experience. At home, with a properly set up display, 3D is ten times better than any theater presentation I've been to.

I have a 3D projector, throwing out a 125.5" image. It's plenty bright (much more so than the theater) and there is zero crosstalk (again, something which plagues all theater presentations). I love watching 3D at home. It's glorious.
