Rough Night (2017, D: Aniello) S: Johansson, McKinnon, Bell, Glazer, Kravitz
Scarlett Johansson and Kate McKinnon have a truly “Rough Night” in the new red-band trailer for the raunchy comedy, formerly titled “Rock That Body.”
The cast includes Jillian Bell, Ilana Glazer, Zoe Kravitz, Ty Burrell and Demi Moore. “Rough Night” follows a group of five friends who were best buddies in college and reunite to rent a beach house in Miami for a wild bachelorette party.
The party gets off to a roaring start but then goes off the rails. Bell’s character leaps onto a male stripper at the rented condo and accidentally kills him, then snorts up the cocaine to conceal it. An attorney tells the quintet they could be facing up to 15 years, because they’ve moved the body.
The film is directed by Lucia Aniello from a script she wrote with her writing partner Paul W. Downs.
The script for “Rock That Body” appeared on the Black List in 2015. Sony picked up the project in an aggressive bidding war. Both Aniello and Downs produced the film through their Paulilu banner. Matt Tolmach and Dave Becky will also produce.
“Rough Night” opens June 16.

This is from some of the writers/director of Broad City.

Pretty damn funny with that trailer still. Based on that alone I'll go see it.

Jilian Bell gets two starring credits, or is Kristen Bell in this too?

This may very well be The Hangover 4 but I like the cast and the trailer was funny. I'll check it out.

Very Bad Things as adapted by the Broad City writers? Yeah, I'll watch that.

Saw the trailer for this yesterday when I went to see Life.
Got a few laughs. Looks like the female version of The Hangover plus a little Weekend at Bernies.
I don't see that many comedies in the theater, but this looks like something fun, over the top and crass that might get a few belly laughs out of me.

I rewatched Very Bad Things after watching the trailer for this, it's funny how little most of the cast has aged in 20 years, and how the topical conversations in the movie, for the most part, still apply today.

just saw this. looks terrible, but love that Ilana Glazer is in it. Love Broad City. All i thought was of course Very Bad Things which i don't remember being that good despite the great cast...

Isn't the Broad City gal 10 years younger than the rest of the cast?

Have no idea who Ilana Glazer is but until today I thought it was Alia Shawkat in this movie from all the trailers I saw.

Saw this trailer in front of Wonder Woman and it had two instances of women performing bodily functions. Not a good sign.

Yeah, there's a episode of Broad City that acknowledges their resemblance, they meet, are instantly attracted to each other, and hook-up since it's essentially them doing themselves. The sex scene was actually pretty funny.

Terrible ! another example of an all female primary cast not able to carry a comedy movie (ala Snatched, Ghostbusters etc)

I did see this unfortunately.
Terrible. Bad attempt at a female version of The Hangover and Weekend at Bernies.
I think my favorite part of the movie was Ty Burrell and Demi Moore playing a swinging couple.

I'm a little more forgiving but it definitely wasn't good. Zoe Kravitz though, holy shit did she look good in this.
