I guess it's just the pose, but reminds me of the cover they did for X-Men Apocalypse.

I know nothing about comics. Interesting choice of colors. Are they bringing this together with Guardians of the Galaxy? They seem to be meshing the color scheme.

Jeff Goldblum looks... interesting.

He looks like he's watching Katniss fight someone, hoping she gets killed.

I don't think any Guardians are appearing in this, but the Guardians will be in Avengers: Infinity War.

This movie is going into space though, and Jeff Goldblum's character (The Grandmaster) is the brother of Benicio Del Toro's Collector.

Those pics posted make me think what in the fucking hell are they doing to this Thor movie??? I liked the first 2, but what I'm seeing here makes me want to skip Ragnarok. Guess I'll just have to wait and see.

Meanwhile, reading the description and title of this film were more exciting to me than watching the first two Thors.

People upset that Thor's hair is cut like this is the second season of Felicity.

Makes me think the exact opposite. I've seen the 2 other Thor movies but neither in the theater. This one looks like they'll get my money.

Same, this is likely the first one I'll see in theaters. Though visually so far, this looks more like Guardians of the Galaxy than Thor or Thor 2.

Re: Thor: Ragnarok (11/3/2017, D: Waititi) - News, rumors, etc.

I really liked the first Thor, didn't mind the second and think this looks like it will be maybe better than either. I actually don't mind anything i am seeing. Trying to copy the look of the Grandmaster from the comic for Goldblum would be a mistake and i don't mind the way he looks here. Its keeping with the look of the Elders (and Del Toros Collector is another Elder). I can see they are bringing in the cosmic color scheme to match up with Guardians of the Galaxy as it seems to me like they are gonna have Hela replace Lady Death and be the person who Thanos is infatuated with. Thor getting his hair cut due to the pit fighting and his enslavement, yeah i guessed that when i saw the picture. I am actually very curious to see who Thor and Hulk are matched up against in the ring. Potential there for some great cameos from other Marvel heavy hitters. And i am glad they got rid of Portman for this movie, it opens up this character and world more. Looking forward to seeing a first trailer.

Yeah, Cate , but Thompson, she just looks like a little teenage girl, miscast and completely unconvincing in Westworld, and even worse here.

Re: Thor: Ragnarok (11/3/2017, D: Waititi) - News, rumors, etc.

Today, EW's got another Thor: Ragnarok reveal for us: plot details! Let's see what they have to say:

"When we last saw Thor, he was flying off to figure out who was manipulating the Avengers at the end of Age of Ultron. Eventually, he hears rumblings of trouble in Asgard: His evil brother, Loki (Tom Hiddleston), has been impersonating their missing father, Odin (Anthony Hopkins). Loki’s rather lax governing leads to the reemergence of an imprisoned Hela (Cate Blanchett). Thor’s initial encounter with Hela gets him blasted to Sakaar, a barbaric planet ruled by the charming but nefarious Grandmaster (Jeff Goldblum). Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), a tough, hard-drinking warrior hiding out on Sakaar brings the god to the Grandmaster...Thor is then forced into becoming a gladiator, which leads to his haircut and the loss of his trusty hammer."

The "Colorful" and "Humorous" keywords indicate that Beta Bill Ray will surely appear.

I thought the same thing. Lots of red, yellow, and blue give it real silver-age comic book feel, and I'm also seeing more Kirby in the designs than any other MCU movie, though the Thor movies always had the most Kirbyesque vibe to them.

Now they just need to get Fantastic Four from Fox, and make some FF movies set in the 1960s and really go all Kirby.

I know I'm preaching to the choir, but shouldn't Valkyrie be nearly Amazonian in height? Close to 6 1/2 feet? I don't give a nut about the race swap but this #shortlivesmatter stuff don't need to be in my comic book movies.

Very true. I think they were both weak. First one was better but it's an alright film. It has some high points but you miss either film, you don't miss anything of value. That's the thing with some of the Marvel films. Some of them are films that should have value and should be something you go out for but some are just fluff. They shouldn't be like that. The Thor films are a waste of time.

I just assumed that Sam Neil is the voice of him at this point
