The poster reminds me of something Struzan would've painted. Perhaps just a touch too busy, but I like it. Looking forward to what looks to be a pretty serious film.

Huh? I guess your idea of floating heads is different than mine.

You mean the heads... attached to bodies?

floating heads, floating bodies, who gives a fuck? i don't like clutter like that on a poster and that is all it's about. i like simple and to the point...

I predict that this movie is going to seriously piss off a lot of white people for reasons they can't fully articulate.

I can see stupid people on Facebook and Twitter finding something to get upset about.

Otherwise, I'm guessing that Marvel kept it from being more political than it could have been.

I get what Oldboy is saying. Marvel uses the same poster template over and over with a collage of characters. I know poster design has really declined over the years, but Marvel's marketing department is particularly lazy when it comes to this.

I've only seen Chadwick Boseman in Civil War but he has one of the most non-descript faces I've ever seen on an actor. Everyone else on that poster is very distinctive, but he could totally blend into a crowd without anyone knowing.

Freeman is actually a European surname.

I like it too. Makes a statement. If people think it's too busy, I think it needs to be.

Yep. It will be just like what happened with Wonder Woman. Lots of tone deaf White Guys(not all of course) just not getting why this movie is such a big deal to Black folks. Others will not understand why it needs to "So Black/African". Lots wondering why a White Guy can't be in the lead role.

I'll bet in China those two will be made bigger and more prominent on the movie posters. :(

I even doubt the advertisement in China will be significant... for no specific reason -rolleyes-

I wouldn't be surprised if Disney decided not to release it in China at all.

First, applause.

Second, between Guardians of the Galaxy, the new Thor movie, and this, it seems Marvel movies are getting more colorful.

First, loved the Tolkien joke. Top notch. :)

Second, really liked the new trailer - looks like they are really going all-out with wakanda, which is awesome.

Only thing I didn't like was showing the villain as a mirror image of BP. Reminds me of Ant-Man. Just fighting a dude in the same suit, with basically the same powers. That makes for a weak villain, so I hope the movie makes it more than that.

I'm going to see it on the opening weekend just because of how cool it looks. It looks like another great Marvel movie.

The ethnic make-up of the cast and characters is irrelevant - it just looks like a really good movie.

I'm glad to see that some people are getting more out of it than that, but the movie looks like a big time winner on it's own merits.

I find it genuinely fascinating that Marvel/Disney have made what looks to be an Afrofuturist cyberpunk film as a franchise tentpole. I can't really think of any films that deal with Afrofuturism to any significant degree, so this will be something we've never seen onscreen before now.

I am liking the look of this and get the feeling they are keeping a lot of the wow moments out of trailers until the release is just around the corner. 2018 is gonna be a massive year for Marvel.
