Looked cute to me, but I really like the concept and how they showed the difference between the Mom and Dad's emotions.

I don't really ~do~ crying at movies, but they just had to drag Minnesota into it. #InsideOut #CinemaCon

Since no one cares about embargoes, I'm just going to say it. Loved Pixar's Inside Out so much, their best in years. You'll hear more soon.

@JimHillMedia Pixar does it again. "Inside Out" is a beautiful, hugely entertaining but more importantly an emotionally satisfying movie.

Ugh, that comment by Rebecca Ford...I really hope it's not going to be that emotionally wrecking. That sequence in Up was one of the very few times I just about lost it when I first saw it. So beautiful, and incredibly sad.

It's good to read the positive impressions trickling out and I have faith in the concept but I'm starting to get a tad tired of the lazy character designs popping up in recent CGI animated films.

As we’ve come to expect from Pixar, Inside Out is another gorgeous, colorful film that often makes you forget you’re watching animation. Inside Out is a bittersweet look at childhood’s end that might be Pixar’s most layered and complex film since Ratatouille.

On paper, “Inside Out” sounded like another lunatic gamble: an adventure that takes place entirely within the head of an 11-year-old girl, featuring her Emotions as characters — although if anyone could pull off a logline like that, it would be the team who made us care about rats who cook, toys that bond, and robots who fall in love. Sure enough, in execution, Pixar’s 15th feature proves to be the greatest idea the toon studio has ever had: a stunningly original concept that will not only delight and entertain the company’s massive worldwide audience, but also promises to forever change the way people think about the way people think, delivering creative fireworks grounded by a wonderfully relatable family story.

This is a humane and heart-wrenchingly beautiful film from Docter; even measured alongside Pixar’s numerous great pictures, it stands out as one of the studio’s very best.

I've never been so happy to read good reviews. Nothing about the film appears to be in any way a "lunatic gamble", in fact it's a pretty tired idea that's been done in previous films and on TV. But to hear these raves makes me very excited.

I clicked on the thread thinking about how I've seen a dozen various clips & trailers and none of them are clicking for me...well now my interest is piqued. Ratatouille was Pixar's last truly great film from beginning to end, IMO.

Ronnie del Carmen from Batman: The Animated Series is the co-director on this. Damn.
Early reviews make this sound like Pixar back on form after going off into sequel-land.

By the way, there may be a potential controversy brewing over Inside Out: some Japanese movie fans are saying the movie could be derived (or at least strongly inspired) by the Japanese manga series Nōnai Poison Berry, which started its serialization back in 2009 (and was recently made into a live-action movie in Japan).
Given the huge controversy back in 1994 over the similarities of Disney's The Lion King and Osamu Tezuka's manga series Jungle Tatei, one really wonders does Shueisha--who publishes the manga serialization in Japan--actually thought about a plagiarism case against Disney/Pixar (though I doubt it given the Japanese reluctance to do such things unless the plagiarism is really blatant).

I'm seriously doubting it has anything to do with Nonai Poison Berry, they don't look particularly similar and this really isn't a new concept. At all.

Maybe they think they need to be overly manipulative in order to overcome the nonsense that was Cars and (uggh) Cars 2.

I wasn't excited for this movie based on the trailer but the early reviews have rekindled my interest.
I didn't have a problem with Cars. It wasn't Pixar best effort but it wasn't as bad as people made it out to be. Cars 2 on the other hand was garbage...

BTW, Jane Sibbett, the blonde airhead from that show, now works for a New Age guru from Croatia named Braco.
