The Macahans / How The West Was Won?
 

I've been waiting years for How The West Was Won staring James Arness and Bruce Boxleitner to be available on DVD and I just purchased Season 1. But wow, was I in for a really big disappointment when I started to watch it. After a little research, I found out that that this story begins in a TV movie called "The Macahans" in 1976, then continues in a mini-series in 1977 and then becomes a regular series in 1978. And Season 1 is actually the first full season in 1978 and is really a good long way into the story.

I've looked and I can't find the TV movie or mini-series on DVD, can anyone fill me in on what the deal is with this? Is the TV movie or mini-series available anywhere?

I don't know about the Movie, But I've been watching the show and mini series, Can someon please tell me, What episode & season did Kate die in ? I watched everything that's been on TV and there's nothing.
