Which Hollywood death affected you the most?
of course the wounds are still visible from Robin Williams death and not to be morbid, but was thinking about which death in Hollywood affected me the most...
the one that affected me the most was Michael Jackson. i know he isn't exactly an actor, but was part of the community doing so many things and i just loved his music so much. not his life mind you, but when his flame was extinguished it definitely moved me visibly.
Williams is probably my 2nd as it is still shocking and disturbing me...

Bruce Lee.
In more recent times, Annette Funicello, the only star whose fan club I'd joined.

Absolutely Joe Strummer for me as well. I actually cried like a baby when he died. That man and that band were just an integral part of my youth.

I think George C Scott affected me the most so far, probably forgetting someone though. When Eastwood and Ford go, I may crumble up in a ball in a corner for a half hour or so.

Oddly the three that have affected me the most were comedians:
Phil Hartman
Chris Farley
Robin Williams
Roy Scheider's death also affected me A LOT more than I thought it would.

As a child of the 80s, Michael Jackson's death hit me in the gut the day it happened. I remember coming home from work, turning on the TV, and whatever channel it was on was playing the "Thriller" video uninterrupted. After watching for a few moments, it struck me odd that they'd just be playing the video without any interruption. Then I realized: he must be dead.
I can't say I mourned the man himself. He was insanely talented and easily the king of 80s pop music, but he'd turned himself into a tragic, sick, paranoid, and (more likely than not) criminal freakshow from the mid-90s until his death. I think the reason his death bothered me so much is because a once brilliant star never did redeem himself.

For some reason I seem to be a little more affected when I find out that somebody I just watched in a movie has already died years ago. It's usually not a big star but still kind of known, more or less.
After re-watching Heathers in the mid 2000s I was shocked to learn that Kim Walker already passed away in 2001.
Or the tragic murder of Rebecca Schaeffer who was killed in 1989. I didn't know about this until a few years ago.

Gotta go with Paul Walker. Certainly wasn't an amazing actor like RW or PSH but his love for animals and all the charity work he did made him someone I really looked up to. His passing hit me harder than I would have expected.
