What was the name of this movie?

Can't really describe the movie without adding what would be spoilers.

Spoiler:
Group of kids go to vacation to Peru I think and go visit Machu Picchu and go to an excursion into the jungle and somehow free some kind of evil vine that kills everyone off.

It's been years since I saw it. Thanks!

Re: What was the name of this movie?

Wow, I actually found it by Googling "Evil vine kills people movie"

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0963794/

Good movie Mexico, not Peru, and Mayans, not Incans.

Pretty sweet movie. Better than the book, which I gave up on halfway through.

So you decide to look up the answer AFTER you start the thread.

Re: What was the name of this movie?

The thread made the right words pop into my head. Google is all about the right words especially a movie that you saw years ago without actors, title, and the wrong location. So in a way without any response the thread helped

This thread reminded me of how much I liked the movie and want to see it again, so thanks!

How did we find information before Google? It must've been arduous.

Encarta.

The movie was better than it should have been but could have been great with a little polish.

We used to have friends who knew and remembered stuff and we would ask them.

God forbid you should ask a knowledgeable person for info today without getting the response, "Google is your friend." Didn't Orwell warn us about such phrases?

When the internet collapses, those of us who remember stuff will be sought after. And you'd better bring your gold with you when you have a question.

Re: What was the name of this movie?

While I guess it's technically correct, when you say "it's been years since I saw it" I would have expected it to be more than 6 years old.

Re: What was the name of this movie?

I remember that as the horror movie with Laura Ramsey in it. Who the hell is she? If you saw the (barely a) movie called "The Real Cancun" - she's the small town girl in it who one of the douchey guys in the group swooned and bedded at the beginning, but then he dumped her the very next day and treated her like shit the rest of the trip as he picked up some other girl. Given how shitty she was treated in it, I think it's kind of cool that she was the only person in that "movie" to go on to have a successful acting career afterwards.

I remember TONS of stuff, thank you very much! Unfortunately, it's all worthless movie trivia, which does not constitute a marketable skill

Re: What was the name of this movie?

I remember hating this movie when I first saw it. Maybe I'll like it more watching it now though.

Wait, this belongs in the "Up-and-coming actors who never became stars" thread.
