My problem with any of it is that WB has Goyer as their comic book nerd. Anything he is involved in gives me worry. Especially if he goes solo in his gig.

If DC wanted to take a chance and get some teen girls in the seats:

A Batgirl movie would be awesome but they would have to secure Affleck as a major supporting character for at least her origins. A Batgirl movie simply can't work unless Batman shows up for several scenes.
Metal Men would be awesome, that is actually the best suggestion I've heard in years. The entire concept would be right at home in a Hollywood movie.
I fear for the Legion on film. I know Warner Bros. would butcher them, the most comic booky of all their properties. That is one property I simply don't trust Hollywood hacks to handle with any finesse.

She's one of the lead characters in the new animated movie Batman: Assault On Arkham. DC is clearly trying to position her away from being a character dependent on the Joker. I have a feeling she will show up sooner or later in a movie.

Catalog this under "No shit, Sherlock", but Warner has registered some domain names.
http://www.techtimes.com/articles/14...nt-inbound.htm
It appears Warner is slowly preparing to announce the names of the DC comic-book films planned for the future. The studio recently registered four new domains for possible future DC movies, and fans are extremely excited.
We've known for quite some time that Warner is hell-bent on making the DC Cinematic Universe a reality, and it all began with the Man of Steel. This plan is continuation with Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, which is currently being filmed in Detroit.
Furthermore, not too long ago Warner announced that it has nine DC movies planned from the year 2016 to 2020, so that's proof enough the DC Cinematic Universe is happening, but it is going to take years for everything to come full circle.
Now, the registered domains are that of possible movies such as Wonder Woman, Shazam, Aquaman, and Justice League. The registered domains are as follows:
JusticeLeagueFilm.com
ShazamMovie.com
WonderWomanTheMovie.com
AquamanMovie.com
One thing to keep in mind, these links will redirect to Warner Bros. official website, so if you're looking to get the first sighting of Aquaman speaking to a school of fish, luck will not be your side fellow comic-book movie lover.
For those who have been following what Warner and DC has been up to for the last couple of years, these registered domains should come as no surprise. Warner has long wanted to mimic Marvel's success at the box office, and these films could be the ones to make that a possibility,
However, one should bear in mind that not because Warner went ahead and took ownership of these domain names, it doesn't mean the studio is planning to work on any of these movies in the future. Sometimes companies register domains in order to fend off those who enjoy sitting on domain names for a possible future profit.
At the end of the day, however, we feel quite confident that these movies, while not yet in production, will be a part of the nine DC films planned for the future ending in 2020. We've heard so many rumors about Shazam and Aquaman for this not to be real, and the fact that Wonder Woman is a main character in Batman v Superman: Dawn of justice, should be a sure sign she'll get her own film.
On the matter of Justice League, come on guys, the next movie is called Dawn of Justice, which should be enough proof that a Justice League film will come eventually. Still, these movies may never come to pass if Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice turns out to be a terrible film.

As long as DC is borrowing from the Marvel Movie playbook, I really hope they take a cue from Guardians of the Galaxy and give either the Metal Men and/or the Doom Patrol a try.
I'm having a heck of a hard time envisioning a future where DC has a movie universe as successful as Marvel's. Maybe this is an obvious point, but I feel half of the reason Marvel has been successful so far is that it started its universe with an excellent movie: Iron Man.
DC has done well with Batman, but that's outside of this new universe. Green Lantern was a big fail and Man of Steel didn't exactly set the world on fire. If Supes v Bats doesn't leave everyone excited and longing for more, every movie tied to this universe is going to stink of its taint, and any dream of a Metal Men movie lighting the box office on fire like GotG did would never happen.
Sorry... longtime DC fan... feel free to ignore.

I agree up until recently. Used to scarf the new DC animated movies up, but they're getting stale because they've overdone Batman, Superman, and Justice League. Time for an Aquaman, Green Arrow, Justice Society, or Titans movie.

Update Noon EDT: And that didn't take long to build, as Variety has some more details, though again, these are sourced and now directly from Warner Brothers. The trade reports that Darren Lemke is writing the script of Shazam, with Dwayne Johnson listed as the star, playing the role of Black Adam. They describe the character as "more of an anti-hero trying to clear his name than a villain." They say that Lemke's hiring is a new one, but that the film may be fast-tracked once he's finished with the script.
