From what I've heard about the five credit scenes...

I liked it quite a lot but as others have pointed out it's lacking the novelty of the first. Some great moments - Drax, Yondu are highlights for me - but a few slow patches and another "throw as much exploding shit as we can in the air" climax. There are indeed 5 post movie scenes although they're spread out from just after the end to the last of the credits.
I'd give it a B+ right now - in my mind just to get where I'm coming from I think Age of Ultron was a better team building world expanding sequel imho.

The reviews don't read like the movie is bad. More than anything it sounds like people are disappointed that it's not as original as the first which isn't a huge surprise as the original kind of came out of nowhere.

We can't get what we got the first time? Whaaaa!!!! The first one turned out better than it should have based on the premise. I even laughed at the thought of a talking raccoon in a movie not called Over the Hedge.

The one criticism that I have seen several times now that gives me pause is what I posted earlier from the Garth Franklin review. I have a low tolerance for overly earnest, treacly sentimentality. A little of that adds a beautiful emotional foundation- but a little also goes a long way for me. Though I do realize it's very much a YMMV kind of thing.

On your last spoiler note, Feige and Gunn came out and noted that person is not a Watcher. He is something other - as if a MCU super-being that travels across the stories.
Still, two great scenes as I was wondering if Marvel had the rights to THOSE characters since they are so tied to The Fantastic Four.

Nope. I haven't seen an outright pan yet, and most have been very complimentary. Not seeming as novel as the first is to be expected by any reasonable person, so I don't really consider that as a valid complaint.

I could see a movie just about those two, and the events linking them to Thanos, and it would be quite the wild ride.

BUMP!
Just saw that it'll drop on Netflix December 5th.
I own the Blu-ray but posted for those with the service who might want to check it out (again).

I thought you were bumping because he released the script on-line for free to GOTG V2 (I saw that story on bleeding cool), but I am also excited to see it again for the second time on Netflix.

I saw that too. Usually, around here, I'd see people posting scripts on movies not released, so didn't think peeps would be interested.
