“ALLIED” is the story of intelligence officer Max Vatan (Pitt), who in 1942 North Africa encounters French Resistance fighter Marianne Beausejour (Cotillard) on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. Reunited in London, their relationship is threatened by the extreme pressures of the war.

I'm a big fan of classic Zemeckis. I haven't liked much of his stuff in recent years. Hopefully this is a return to form for him.

Comes out next next week. Still no reviews, but the MPAA has released it's official rating: R for violence, some sexuality/nudity, language and brief drug use.

Not a big Brad Pitt fan, but this looks pretty good. Maybe even something both my wife and I will go see (that is rare)!

Saw this Tuesday evening. Totally understand the mixed/barely fresh rating. Visually Zemeckis did a great job, especially in the first half. This deserves and Oscar nod for production and costume design. Everything else is kind of meh. The movie does have some brilliant moments, but the parts are better than the whole.

I actually liked this quite a bit more than the critics. I thought it was great and it will hold a sure spot in my top 10 for 2016.
I thought Pitt and Cotillard were terrific and Zemeckis did a credible job in all facets. The story was tense and engaging the entire runtime and it was paced well, there was some good action and a few poignant moments.
I also liked August Diehl showing up as basically the same character he played in Inglorious Basterds.
I will definitely pick this up on BD.

Caught a matinee yesterday and really enjoyed it.
Very compelling WWII spy thriller, which was carried by the amazing on screen chemistry between Pitt and Cotillard.
Zemeckis did a great job directing. Beautifully shot and some tense War sequences.
This is also one of my favorite movies of 2016 next to The Infiltrator which I just saw recently.
Keep in mind, War is the backdrop of the movie. The love story between Pitt's character Max and Cotillard's Marianne is the meat and potatoes of the film. I think it was done really well.

I watched this over the weekend and liked it a lot. The chemistry between Pitt and Cotillard was just as hot as Pitt and Jolie in Mr and Mrs Smith.

My wife and I watched this tonight and we really enjoyed it. Usually I check my watch during movies, but not once during the two hour runtime. It's a shame this movie didn't get more talk around here, it really deserves it. The effects were great, the setting and time period looked fantastic and I thought the story was very interesting and engaging. I'll pick this up once it's on sale.

Just saw this and liked it. The good thing about waiting so long to see a movie is that I'd forgotten about the spy twist that was hyped during the theatrical run.
Angelina Jolie gives me the willies, but I could watch Cotillard all day. Lizzy Caplan was almost unrecognizable in the ridiculous wig.

I rented this from Netflix. It was ok. I thought it lagged a bit in the middle. The action sequences were really well done though. And I liked the ending.

I saw this last night and I thought it was great. It almost felt like an old movie dare i say Casablanca (which they were obviously referencing). The pacing might be slow at times but it works, lets all the emotions sink in and i was at the edge of my seat the whole time. In a world were most thrillers are Fast and Furious (pun intended) this one stands out as different. I highly recommended it specially if you like old thrillers
PS: I also saw Mr and Mrs Smith. To cover my "movies that made Brad Pitt get a divorce" marathon. What a horrible movie that was
