What's the most F'd with movie that still turned out great?
All of this Ant-Man upheaval has me wondering, which movie was fucked with, ie: changed hands, new directors, new stars, re-writes, re-shoots, etc and it still ended up being pretty damned good?

I can think of many that were later fixed when it came to home video like Blade Runner and Brazil but as far as being released at the theater maybe the first Back The Future?

While not a great movie, I think Ravenous turned out very interesting in light of the tumult it experienced during production (problems with the director, replaced a couple weeks into the shoot).

Although it's not in my top tier of Herzog films, Fitzcarraldo definetly qualifies.
As far as a movie that REALLY got F'd with and still ended up being good: Magnificent Ambersons.

Matt Reeves was hired three weeks before Dawn of the Planet of the Apes was to begin shooting.
Reeves threw out all of the material that was already made, hired a new screenwriter based on a story he developed, and got Fox to delay filming by two months to film his vision.

Titanic. Was supposed to be a summer movie but was delayed and the budget skyrocketed to 200 mil. Many expected it to flop and Cameron would never be allowed to make a major movie again
