I didn't actively look. It was a featurette, I watched and noticed a few things. Like I said, I kinda wished I didn't.

I try to avoid any story, even if only photos, of the movie. I'll probably stop checking this thread very soon.

Fan speculation is not a spoiler IMO and it is part of the fun.

That said, every SW fan should watch it at least once. Keep in mind that it's 1978, and it was the first SW anyone saw since the end credits rolled on the first movie. It's a genuinely surreal experience.

I still remember watching it live in 1978 (I believe it came out right before Thanksgiving). Even as a 6 year old kid at the time I thought it was awful and turned the channel halfway through.

But some will find correct info and pass it off as speculation. I'd rather not take the chance.

I don't have to speculate. After the first trailer, I knew it would be awesome. No more info needed.

I agree. It was such a bizarre show. Truly boggles the mind how it was ever created.

Imagine if they took all the Marvel actors and created a tv special of "Marvel Disney on Ice". Not the characters but the actual actors skating and singing. For an hour.

I just watched the Holiday Special for the very first time on YouTube... Yeah, it's really bad. I don't think it's something anyone needs to watch.

I built it up in my mind over the years. I know it was just due to the cartoon and the fact it was never aired again like most Christmas specials. I finally saw it 15 years later in 1993 buying a $20 convention bootleg. That first 20 minutes of only Wookiee dialogue was shocking. Couldn’t believe that someone thought it was a good idea. Drunk/high Carrie Fisher is another feature. As well as post accident Mark Hamill with makeup that is slathered on.

On another note. I enjoyed the commercials and the newscast update. I figured out how I knew what neutron bombs did at such an early age.

That sound was amazing. First time at the AMC Dolbyvision. Are all the seats equipped with sub woofers? My seat was shaking. Well worth the $15

Wow, that's quite the advance screening!

Yes, Dolby Cinema has a shaker in each seat.

That's called Buttkicker. https://thebuttkicker.com/

They could used different type of transducers, but same concept. I have Buttkicker on my PC racing "cockpit".

Yeah, the Holiday Special is a doozy. I didn't believe it was as bad as everybody said but yeah it definitely is. I found it on YouTube and watched it a couple years back. I mean mostly its just a bunch of nonsense with Chewbacca's family and it just drags on and on. I don't even understand how anybody thought it was a good idea. The only thing that's slightly redeeming is the cartoon segment which introduces Boba Fett. Even that isn't great but it at least falls in line with animation from that era.

They just released a trailer for the new Avengers movie this past week. When was the last time a big trailer was released with a specific movie? Don't they all debut during the morning shows or football games now?

Avengers will certainly run in front of Star Wars, I don't know if anything else will be attached from Disney. I don't know if a Solo trailer is ready yet, and so far, they've yet to debut a Star Wars trailer in front of Star Wars. They should probably get something out soon though if they're still sticking with the May release date.

You're right though in that major movie trailers don't usually debut in the theater. They debut on TV and/or the internet.

To be fair, we're still getting used to that new "usually." Plus, we still have fun surprises like the extended Deadpool 2 trailer in front of Logan that was kept under wraps and surprised most of us.

True, but that was more of a short than a trailer. I don't expect any of that to be in the film.

Bought my ticket on Fandango a few weeks ago. Will be seeing it opening day in the early afternoon.

Looking forward to it.

It isn’t surprising that mhg83 would think $15 for a seat that pleasures the user is a great deal ...

The Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom teaser just ran on Sunday Night Football ... the full trailer premieres this week on Thursday Night Football.
