Last time the trailer for TFA hit the internet the SECOND it ended on tv - so we're talking a 2-3 minute difference tops - not hours. I'm not watching a football game I don't care about - I've got @starwars twitter notifications turned on and will see it a minute after the football fans.

. Most MNF game halftimes fall between 9:45-10:00 and you can use your remote control and turn on ESPN around that time to see how much time is left in the 2nd quarter. Alittle old school anticipation of waiting 5-10 minutes for the trailer to drop is fun to me.

Grabbed the Chinese Theater in LA IMAX showing at 10 and the double feature IMAX showing at Irvine. Los Angeles showing sold out quick.
Going to decide which one I'll do as the date nears.

yeah, ticket presales are already up. Good thing my brother mentioned it to me...some showings at my theater were already sold out. Got 7pm for Thursday in regular digital. No DBox or 3D for us.
I think this happened with TFA too...everyone though ticket presales would go up when the trailer debuted but they went up early.

There is a 6PM "fan event" with reserve seating, but it's $25 per ticket. The only perks appear to be a free small popcorn, some trading cards and 15 minutes of exclusive content (probably a featurette). Hardly worth an extra $16 per ticket, even if you get to see it an hour earlier.

Also for the theaters I got tickets for there was a queue system similar to purchasing a concert ticket on Ticketmster. That was annoying.

Wow, my local ArcLights are sold out for Thursday night showings, but I can squeeze in a 7:20am showing Friday morning.

There is an ad for the double feature shown, but no listing comes up for my local theater when I click on it.

I dig the poster...not mind blowing, but it's realistically as good as we're going to get these days. I'm hoping our HR dept is on the tix for our usual Fri AM Star Wars outing...should've reminded them today.

Got my tickets for Thursday @ 9:30 in Dolby Cinema... The 6pm show was $35. No thanks, I'll wait a couple hours. Fucking gougers!
