Got my ticket for late Thursday night!
Chose a small theater for my first viewing. Will probably go to larger ones after Opening Week.

WTH, my theater I planned on going to does not even have all screen times up yet for Saturday when we plan to go. They only have the main 3D screen listed and for sure they'll have it on probably 5 to 6 screens.

Gonna see it at my local Alamo Drafthouse, to get the Rogue One glass.
Weird that the other local AD isn't showing ANY showtimes for this flick. Weird shit...

The Fandango link doesn't seem to be showing all Screenings.
A work-around I found that works is going into Google, searching for your (Theater Name) + Fandango and going directly to the theater's page on Fandango.
Found a bunch of theaters that way that weren't originally listed on Fandango's Rogue One link.

That's gotta be Tarkin in the latest 'Breath' spot....besides that it's also a really cool shot. Looking forward to this one, I'm assuming our company will be going Friday AM as we have previous years!

Got tickets for Friday, Saturday and Sunday! Friday is at the biggest screen in town (with balcony 18+ seating) with friends, Saturday is at Alamo Draft house for the collectible cup (we got the same for Force Awakens) and Sunday is just because its Star Wars!

On top of my Opening Night ticket (in 2-D), I bought tickets to see the film twice in 70mm IMAX with close friends.
So excited! 3 Star Wars screenings in the first 5 days.

I'll swing by Cinemark some time this week and buy tickets for an opening night 2D showing.
I thought about pre-ordering online for reserved seating XD, but it's not worth the extra $5. The free poster is a nice bonus, but not something I'd want to hang on my wall.

Fandango was crazy as it had me wait in a queue. I went straight to the Cinemark site and got tix no problem and without the surcharge. The RealD XD showing for Sunday morning (since it is showing it that way only twice a day). This is the former true IMAX screen when it was TheBridge.

I get hit with a $1.35 service charge per ticket, but it's waived if you pay with a Cinemark gift card.
Hopefully there are tickets left for the regular 2D showing when I swing by the theater tomorrow. The reserved seating chart for the XD screening at 7PM only has the first two rows available. It will definitely sell out quicker than The Force Awakens did at my local theater... I'm surprised.

Got my Thursday 8:30 tickets for 3D with reserved seating. I might see in in IMAX at some point during its run.
Is it wrong to expect an Episode VIII teaser with this considering we don't even have a title for that yet??

Yeah, it's probably wrong. We didn't get a Rouge One trailer with Episode VII. I would expect the major Disney attachment to be the first full length trailer for Guardians Vol.2, and maybe the first Spidey teaser. I would love to be wrong though.

I was actually wishing Rian Johnson would pull a JJ and give us a teaser for Episode VIII on Thanksgiving Day. I wonder why they haven't even given us a title. Guess they want to focus all marketing for this one for now.

Couldn't they just give a teaser without the title? Just showing the roman numerals? But I guess that goes away from the marketing on the last one... I've been kind of expecting something to be shown.

Like with The Force Awakens, I'm going a bit nutty with this film.
Already have tickets bought for 3 different Screenings (2 in 70mm IMAX) and this afternoon I bought tickets for the 3-D IMAX Screening at the Metreon in San Francisco.

70 mm at the Saint Louis Science Center. I saw The Force Awakens there and couldn't stand the dome presentation. Looks like Indianapolis is the next closest to me. Wondering if it is worth a 3 hour drive (each way) ...
My usual IMAX is Bloomington. According to Wikipedia it is the second largest screen in Central IL at 36x66. Not sure how that sacks up, but I'm guessing it's on the small side.

Well shoot. I was so exhausted from my Thanksgiving trip I didn't even think to look and see if the tickets were being sold at midnight. I was in bed at 9 PM! I figured it was like Force Awakens and sometime around 7-8 PM Monday. I was lucky too that there were still tickets for 3 PM Friday. Getting the pint glass at Alamo as well.
