I missed that mention, and it just doesn't look like something from a real studio.

To be honest I've never really noticed the contrast issues some are bringing up with the Marvel films. Having it pointed out I can see what people mean but I guess it's never bothered me. I don't think it's as prevalent as every scene looking dark and lifeless like most of the DCEU films. Even scenes that take place in daylight have that weird filtered look to them.
That's the key difference with the poster for The Avengers. It's simplistic and not very special but it looks studio made. The fact that some are confused as to whether the poster floating around for this film is real or fan made says a lot for it. It looks sloppy and just kinda cornball.

^ I’m ok with that.
IF a Director’s Cut is in the works that could put it at less than 2 1/2 hours. I’m not sure where an extended cut stands with all the behind the scenes changes made throughout production though.

Edit: Read it is about that and includes a post credit scene (which has been rumored for some time).

I'm all for a superhero movie that can cover a lot of bases in just over 2 hours. Raiders of the Lost Ark was one minute shy of two hours in the day and we got all we needed for a good story.

Yeah, but Raiders of the Lost Ark was focused mainly on one character and there wasn't really even a main singular villain. This has to balance six main characters (three of which haven't even been established at this point beyond minor cameos) plus a main villain.

I heard it was 170 minutes. So did Whedon cut 50 mins?

What only a 121 minutes??? Fuck this movie. There is no way a movie that is only that long can be good with that many characters.

That's not what I said if that's directed at me. I simply said that the comparison to the running time of Raiders of the Lost Ark isn't a good one because that film had less characters to balance. Also we've seen that exact issue with other DC films having too many characters and things going on so its a valid point. Of course I'm just a hater though so my points don't matter.

Man of Steal was 143 minutes, BvS 151, and WW 141. Suicide Squad was only 121 minutes though, and was another "team up" movie.

I think the run time would have been fine had it not been for the fact that it's incorporating three new characters, and not just minor characters but three major characters. Other DCEU films have run into the same issue where there's basically too much going on and it leaves for an underdeveloped plot. It might be like Batman V Superman where there's an ultimate edition down the line but it shouldn't have to be that way.

Honesty it looks like they're really trying to make a fun action heavy poster WITHOUT the ruined buildings and destruction of the Avengers poster. I mean Hell, if they let's say...toned down the colors and changed the contrast a bit, and did some other tweaks....

I would say about 2 hours and fifteen minutes.
Honestly though, if the movie is entertaining who cares about runtime? I find it even more hilarious that when Civil War came out and put in non established characters people didn't complain, but here they bitch about not having long enough to establish characters.
