Right now thought, the first tangible sign that Wreck-It Ralph 2 is on the way has come from composer Henry Jackman. In an interview with him, Collider asked if he'd heard news of a Wreck-It Ralph 2. His answer? "I did, to be honest with you. I can’t tell you more, not because I’m being coy, but I believe that it is officially on the cards. I don’t know any more other than a story is indeed being written".

According to Moore “This time, Ralph’s wrecking wreaks havoc on the Web—as only he can do. Characters we loved in the first film are back and we are ecstatic to be working with them—and the actors who voice them—once again.”

Reilly and Sarah Silverman are the only two actors officially announced though

“The world of the internet is the perfect place to send Ralph and Vanellope,” added Johnston. “The scope and scale are so vast and the possibilities for comedy are endless.”

With the characters moving to the internet, many may wonder how the world of classic video games will play into the film. Well, speaking to Collider, Moore said that “We’re really trying to find that balance of how can we have those great kind of references to retro arcade culture but also have it feel that this is also a contemporary world with newer games, [and] everything you can find on the internet.”

Ever since we heard that Walt Disney Animation Studios is creating a sequel to Wreck-It Ralph, we have basically been talking about it on a daily basis. Lucky for us, today at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, filmmakers debuted even more information about the sequel, and it all sounds amazing! First, we now know the full title for the film! Your eyes do not deceive you. The new title of the movie is officially: Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2. We love this so much. As if that wasn’t enough to make our Wreck-It Ralph fan hearts soar, we also found out today that both Jane Lynch and Jack McBrayer, who voiced Sergeant Calhoun and Fix-It Felix respectively, will be returning to voice their characters, along with John C. Reilly (Ralph) and Sarah Silverman (Vanellope). Filmmakers also announced that, as the title might suggest, in this story Wreck-It Ralph will be escaping the arcade and traveling through the expansive universe of the internet. We can’t wait to see him break it!

The team behind Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2 will be directors Rich Moore and Phil Johnston and producer Clark Spencer, all of whom previously worked on Zootopia and Wreck-It Ralph.

Moore said the following about the upcoming sequel:

“To take these characters we love and have them enter the enormous world of the internet has given us so much to explore. Our production team has been hard at work designing a world that takes something we all think we know—the internet—but shows it in a whole new, imaginative way.”

Johnston also offered his excitement:

“We’re so excited to be working with Ralph, Vanellope von Schweetz, Fix-It Felix, and Sergeant Calhoun again, and we have new characters we look forward to unveiling. At the center of this film, as in the first one, is the relationship between Ralph and Vanellope, two once-outcasts, who in each other, found true friendship.”
