Nice to see Disney taking a few shots at itself. Can't wait to show this trailer to my kids later today, I think they're gonna be excited!

I find it interesting that of all characters that could bring together the Disney princesses they chose the last one anyone would consider a a true princess, not to mention voiced by someone known for lewd comedy routines. Still..looks interesting. I'm just curious if Disney might be a bit nervous about Silverman going out and shooting off her mouth too much before the movie opens.

I like that they're bringing in all the Disney properties. Like seeing cameos/cross-overs and shit. Wreck-It Ralph was one of my favorite animated films in the last decade (the other being Big Hero 6), so I'm hyped.
What princess are you referring to?

That trailer played more like an advertisement for Disney and corporate America than it did for a movie.

It's been our tradition the last 3 or 4 years to take the kids to see Santa at Bass Pro Shops on Black Friday and then see the new Disney Animated feature (Moana, Coco, etc.). I expect that tradition to continue with this on Friday.

I caught a showing last night, and didn't care for the direction they took things. Both lead characters have been softened quite a bit, the supporting characters from the first film are barely shown and given almost nothing to do, and the new cast of supporting characters is largely forgettable and also not given much to do. I was thankful that (unlike the teasers) "the internet" focused primarily on established sites and behaviors, although the Disney ass-kissing was a bit much and felt out of place (the musical number in particular).
I probably need to see it again, and will no doubt be subjected to it more than once by my kid when it's available to stream, but it felt like a cash grab and a big step down from the charming first film.
EDITED TO ADD: There is also a post credits sneak preview, which I will not spoil.

I saw this at a near sell out show last night and enjoyed it but not as much as the original. Some of that is nostalgic and me going to arcades when younger so moving it to the internet wasn't as fun for me but would still recommend. Agree with the above, stay for the full credits. Forgot to add but the end was kind of freaking out my 5 year old so be prepared if you have little ones.

I'm surprised OldBoy didn't do a review thread for this being it's a pretty huge Disney release.
Anyways, I saw it today at AMC in Dolby and it was a great experience. Lots of laughs and heart.
Loved all the pop culture references and all the little cameos....including:
Riley and Silverman were in top form as Ralph and Vanellope. They played off each other so well. I also enjoyed Taraji P. Henson's voice work and character.
2 post credit scenes to hang out for unless your bladder is going to explode. One was slightly shown the trailer that wasn't in the movie and the other is new and quite funny.

well, this was only 2 pages. the smaller ones i don't think need a separate review thread when so small. the lots of pages discussion ones i'll do, but 1 or 2, doesn't seem worth it...

Caught this last night and we enjoyed it quite a bit. I'd say it's about equal to the first IMO. I thought they did a great job of translating the 2D Princesses into modern CG and like how they were integrated into the story. With the retro arcade/console craze going on, wonder if they will go for another sequel (and where would they take the characters??)?
We, of course, got the Toy Story 4 teaser and it got a great audience response.

You guys have voiced some of my main concerns since seeing the trailers for this. I'm still going (and taking my 5yo kid), but my expectations are mid-range for this.
