Re: Ted 2 (2015, MacFarlane) S: Wahlberg, Seyfried

I thought this was a big step up over the first. Its better made, written and structured but I agree it is too long. Very scattered still, but more consistent. The slams on Amanda Seyfried were great.

Her delivery of "I put a frownie face on Facebook!" Was pretty convincing

The Ribisi plot should have been excised, but at least it seemed like it was from the same movie this time. It was so oddly integrated into #1

Re: Ted 2 (2015, MacFarlane) S: Wahlberg, Seyfried

Saw this today

Meh, it was alright. Had some laughs, but it was very uneven and way too long. This was an 85-90 minute movie tops. The Donny subplot was very dumb and pointless. That should have not even been included. I think MacFarlane felt like he needed to pad this movie and it was unnecessary.

The Liam Neeson cameo was kind of neat, although the scene itself was kind of dumb. And the Tom Brady cameo playing off Deflategate came across as super corny.

I did like Amanda Seyfried's additon replacing Mila Kunis. She was cute and had good chemistry with Wahlberg. at the Gollum joke about her eyes. She was definitely a sport for letting MacFarlane make fun of that.

I have the 1st movie on BD, but not sure if I want to see this again, let alone own it.

There was an after credits scene that paid off the earlier Neeson scene (wasn't very good). And yeah the Mattel thing sucked ass, no consequences, no real reason for it.

Re: Ted 2 (2015, MacFarlane) S: Wahlberg, Seyfried

What the fuck did I just watch? "Selma" starring Teddy Ruxpin?

"Ted" is a textbook example of a film that did not need a sequel but got one anyway and it was a piece of shit.

I don't even feel like going over what I hated. All of it is pretty terrible. At best, a few lines amused me.

I like the movie. The Gollum bit. The author bit. The improv bit. The zombie bit. The baby poop bit. Seyfried was great.

Watched the extended the other day. Still enjoyed it, still think it's a big step up from the original.

I thought the original was pretty damn funny. If I liked that one, will I also enjoy this second one?

I stayed away because reviews I read weren't very good.

Seems to be hit or miss with people so it's impossible to tell. I thought the second was more consistently funny but enjoyed the first.

And I mean, the director of Audition liked it too.

I don't remember the original all that much, but I think I enjoyed the second one more. I think the second one has funnier bits.

I loved the first, and barely laughed at the second one. Was a disappointment for me.

Those of you who did not like the second one: do you watch Family Guy regularly? I'm just wondering if you might have become jaded to the MacFarlane bits. I haven't watched the show in ages.

I haven't ever watched Family Guy regularly. Neither does my wife. We both loved the first one. Second one was a lot more miss than hit.

Just finished watching this and the first one was better by far. We watched the Unrated cut. The jokes were hit and miss as were the cameos. In fact, some of the gags felt like they were from the Family Guy along with some of the edits. Glad I checked out on SD from the library.

MacFarlane is anti-comedy.

Just recently watched the Unrated cut as well, and the added 10 minutes definitely slog down an already too long movie. That said, both are still funnier than the original to me, I just wish they trimmed down the comic-con stuff, and skip the unrated cut.

That has got to be the most desperate cash grab attempt ever. Clever, sure, but c'mon.

Well, if you don't have any of the three films, you get them and HDX UV codes out of the deal.
