End credits scores/songs that you always have to listen to
Sometimes my movie-viewing experience isn't fully complete without listening to the final tracks.
Scores Unforgiven-"Claudia's Theme" Brazil-"Bachianos Brazil Samba" Godfather Parts I & II-Theme medleys Starman-Main Theme Donnie Darko-"For Whom The Bell Tolls" (I'm positive another track plays after this, but I always have to listen to this one) Poltergeist-"Carol Anne's Theme" Mad Max- Don't know the actual name of it, but it's the first set heard here The Last Emperor-Main Theme Saving Private Ryan- Actually just listened to the whole final track fairly recently. I was surprised by how strong it is. The Elephant Man- Although the version heard in the film is slightly superior to the album version. Platoon-"Adagio for strings" Ironically, plays before ^that. Rocky-"Rocky's Reward" Scarface-"Tony's Theme,Elvira & Gina's Theme" (Theatrical version runs a little longer than the album version. And sounds a bit better too) Chinatown-"Love Theme" Phantom Menace-"Duel of the Fates,"Anakin's Theme"...And Vader breath Once Upon A Time in America-"Deborah's Theme" ^I noticed that the 80's did well there. Songs Goodfellas-"My Way","Layla" (Reprise) American Graffiti-"All Summer Long" Die Hard-"Let it snow", "Ode to Joy" Harold & Maude-"If you want to sing out" A Clockwork Orange-"Singin' in the rain" National Lampoon's Vacation-"Dancing across the U.S.A" Reservoir Dogs-"Coconut" (I admit I don't like this song. But it's mandatory to always listen to the whole thing) Jackass-"Hybrid Moments","Flesh into Gear" Mi Vida Loca-"Girls, it ain't easy","If the papes come" (I like the first song way more though) Heavy Traffic-"Scarborough Fair" Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels-"Eighteen with a Bullet" (Plus original score) Killer Joe-"Strokin'" (I'm sure that this has become a new favorite for many) Pink Floyd:The Wall-"Outside The Wall" (I LOVE this version, btw) Menace II Society-"Str8 Up Menace" Kill Bill-Vol.1-"The Lonely Shepherd","Urami Bushi" Reefer Madness:The Musical-"Mary Jane/Mary Lane" Slacker-"Strangers Die Everyday" Romeo + Juliet-"Exit Music (For a Film), "Kissing You" (Instrumental<---Love that version even more too) Electra Glide in Blue-"Tell Me" Dawn of the Dead-"The Gonk" Which reminds me...I always loved the similar-sounding song that plays at the end of the original Evil Dead. Anyone know what that's called? I know I'm forgetting tons more (Plus I don't want to pile up the Bond songs) What are yours? |

Detroit Rock City - Nothing Can Keep Me From You (Kiss)
Great fucking Kiss love song that we will never EVER see performed live. One of Paul Stanley's best vocals too. Damn it, where's the Blu-ray?! |

the end song by Yumi Arai used in the Japanese language version of KIKI'S DELIVERY SERVICE, heard here but without the end sequence that it accompanies (see the actual movie for that!): <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/pF2CZppmY1A" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> And here's a really beautiful song that comes at the end of another Studio Ghibli movie, I CAN HEAR THE OCEAN (1993), sung by the main voice actress from the film: <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/YekFxv4IcVw" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> And pretty much any GUNDAM end theme, but esp. this one by Nami Tamaki: <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/FyO3PY_Iy7g" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> |

Re: End credits scores/songs that you always have to listen to
This is a different situation but as I was leaving a movie, I just had to walk into the theater playing Man on a Ledge because I heard The Clash's Police on my Back playing during the end credits.
As a side note, most idiotic usage of that song is in Knocked Up where the sisters are shopping for pregnancy tests. |
Re: End credits scores/songs that you always have to listen to
Raiders of the Lost Ark
Warrior How to Train Your Dragon Just the first few that came to mind. |
Re: End credits scores/songs that you always have to listen to

Re: End credits scores/songs that you always have to listen to
^ If the final Avengers movie doesn't find a way to integrate all of the MCU heroes into something like that, I will be VERY disappointed.
