Cooties follows a struggling writer/substitute teacher whose first day at an elementary school sees him dealing with a virus that turns the kids into mindless killing cannibals. The teacher bands with the survivors — played by Rainn Wilson, Alison Pill, Jack McBrayer and Leigh Whannell, among others — to figure out an escape from the school.

I'm not a big fan of zombie comedies. Shaun of the Dead was good but I have yet to see another that was decent.

I may check this out because I like the cast. Although I'm not crazy about Jack McBrayer. He always plays the same exact character.

Seen Cooties trailer last year. Not surprised this is taking so long since Lionsgate have a stupid habit of sitting on movie acquisitions too long before release. I guess the attempt is to build hype.

Lol. I totally forgot about that exchange up top. I saw this preview a while back. Looks great.

Hopefully what they do right (like was done in Zombieland) is treat the zombies as a serious threat. The survivors can be goofy, but if the zombies are played for intentional laughs it hurts it overall.

Just watched it and thought it was a nice little compact time waster. Nothing great but did have some nice kills and a couple of great lines.

My favorite of them was: "I always wanted to have sex with a prostitute who was non-white."

Also "Nap time, motherfuckers."

The film runs 85 mins., so it's easy to get through.
