Tarantino, del Toro and Wes Anderson are probably the only three I'll see no matter what. Nolan might be joining that list.
There are directors I really like, but don't feel the need to see everything by them. Most of them have been named in this thread.

I don't think there is anything wrong with choosing Affleck. Guy is pretty open to variation in his picks for directing so far. Seems to be getting bolder and better with his direction. That's pretty exciting to see. Also... He's a solid actor now. Even better if he directs himself.
