Re: High Res Movie Posters

You have to pay for the files on Movieposterdb.com and impawards.com doesn't have all the posters I want. I am also looking for images without the fold lines in them.

But thanks for the links.

Re: High Res Movie Posters

You're are asking a lot.
You wont find a free site with hi-res images.
Many posters from back in the day will have fold lines. Just how it is. Unless someone scans the poster and throws it in Photoshop but that is likely not going to happen.
There is no one site that is going to have every poster.

My advise is to pay up and get what you can otherwise deal with low quality free images.

Re: High Res Movie Posters

You mean there's no site that just gives away free original one-sheet posters with free shipping? I call bullshit! Someone point me in the right direction!

He's looking for scans, not physical posters.

Tons of people use those scans to print them up and sell them on the bay.

Re: High Res Movie Posters

Good luck finding what you want, for free. I used to make custom DVD covers and when you want what you are after, you have to pay, it's as simple as that.
It's only like $6 and change for http://www.movieposterdb.com/ and you get 50 downloads/posters.

What are you needing these for?

This Site has a great selection of B-movie, adult, and exploitation posters. And it's free.

?
I've been collecting posters from this site for years (and have accumulated about 3,000 so far). These are mostly great quality...high res. Plus, you can often choose between multiple designs, international designs, etc. I've been considering purchasing a 13x19" printer so I can print my favorites of these and frame them. It's too bad that, due to copyright laws, you can't bring these files into Staples or Kinkos and have them do a full-size one-sheet, because many of them are of high enough resolution to print that big!

[sarcasm] Yeah, damn copyright. Who came up with that crappy law? [/sarcasm]

If you want it, and you recognize the value, then pay for it. Pretty simple.

Stop being a cheap bastard.

I pay for the digital posters on the site, and when I want full-size posters, I pay for them on various poster sites and for their frames.

Stop being an accusatory bastard.

I was waiting for somebody to point out the fact that a commercial printer won't replicate copyrighted works.

If you just want reprints to hang on a wall, eBay all the way. I have a few that I put in frames from Walmart that look great for not a lot of money.

If you are talking about actually collecting, well that's another story.
