Pretty sure scuffs on Cap's shield came first.

The picture is super desaturated so even the gold barely stands out. Either someone should crank up the color in Photoshop or we just wait for set pics.

But isn't that how it's going to look in the movie? I thought the Superman costume was a lot brighter than they way they showed it in the film. WW's costume also has no color. Seems odd for a Justice League movie, but then I always liked the brighter colors of the JLA and DC superheroes in general.

Can't really judge the colors until the final film, not even clips, considering how much Snyder likes to tweak the look of his films. I do agree, I wish it was a tad brighter.

Oh dear God Folks...Supes Costumes will more or less be the MoS costume until they reboot the franchise. Accept it...Embrace it.

Yeah no kidding. Complaining about the muted colors is beating the putrid rotted corpse of a dead cow. What's next? Complaints about the lack of red trunks again?

I don't get the whole Aquaman "Unite the Seven" thing. Why should he care to unite superheroes? As long as his undersea realm isn't threatened, why should he give a shit?

Are we sure it's about uniting the heroes? I took it as a reference to the Seven Seas. As in that he is consolidating power across the aquatic realms in his bid for the throne, in opposition of Orm.

Really? I assumed it was uniting the seven that would become the Justice League considering BvS is more or less a prequel to JL.

Guess we'll see once the next character poster comes out. If it's, say, Cyborg, with that hashtag...

Re: Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) (D: Snyder; S: Gadot)

It doesn't mean that Aquaman himself is responsible for uniting the Justice League. It just means that the members are uniting for the first time.

BvS is subtitled Dawn of Justice, remember. This is basically the creation of the Justice League. Justice League Year Zero in essence.

I really doubt Aquaman has much presence in BvS. Most of the JL team will more than likely just be extended cameos. Batman and Superman (and maybe Wonder Woman) will be the only ones with significant screen time. There simply isn't enough running time in one movie to give all these heroes much screen time.

So I doubt there is anything really Aquaman related in the movie like Orm or Black Manta or even Atlantis. Stuff like that will be in Aquaman's solo movie.

Remember the machines Zod used in Man of Steel to terraform Earth into Krypton? One of them was over an ocean. My guess is that this disrupted the ocean's ecosystem, and this is how Aquaman will be used in BvS. He is going to be pissed off at Superman at first. Like how we got the Iron Man and Cap versus Thor fight at the beginning of Avengers, I bet we are going to get similar fights in BvS.

Cut the fish some slack. Saltwater really screws up the hair, especially after living in the stuff all your life.

Aquaman works at tattoo shop underwater where he is supplied ink from the cuttlefish.

Since the picture is completely devoid of any color, I assumed "the seven" referred to will be the colors of the rainbow.

Actually, I thought Seven Seas also.

Seriously... reading the tag on that Aquaman image, I immediately thought the seven seas too. Cuz they do call him the King of the Seven Seas.

Fan-made color version. This is exactly what I wanted to see for the armor (orange-ish bronze rather than gold). As for the Trident (quindent?), I really don't care if it is gold or not.

But he has been the king for a long time. I don't think he is just now becoming king right before the movie takes place. Why would he just now be uniting the seas? That's the keyword everyone is missing: UNITE. BvS is a Justice League prequel. They are UNITING for the first time.

If the tagline was just "The Seven" then it may be the seven seas, but "Unite the Seven" leans more towards uniting the seven members of the JL.

Regarding the Flash, the CW TV series is a good indicator of where they will go with him. I know the CW series isn't going to actually be connected to the DCCU, but the movie costume will probably be somewhat similar to the TV series. It will be a darker red, more of maroon, instead of the bright red from the comics.

The rainbow belongs to the Green Lantern franchise. Something that Geoff Johns introduced into the franchise about a decade ago was a Lantern Corps for each color of the rainbow. So there are Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, and Violet Lantern Corps.

The warm colors are the villains, and the cool colors are the heroes.

Red is powered by rage.
Orange is powered by greed.
Yellow is powered by fear.
Green is powered by willpower.
Blue is powered by hope.
Indigo is powered by compassion.
Violet is powered by love.

There are also Black and White Lantern Corps. Black is death, and these guys are basically zombie Lanterns. White is life.
