While speaking with The Boston Globe about starring as Lyndon B. Johnson in the play All the Way, Cranston was of course asked about the widely circulated report that he’ll portray Lex Luthor in no fewer than six movies.

“Six?” the actor laughed. “This is all news to me. I think that maybe my name is bandied about because I’m known to be bald. ‘What bald guy can we get?’ The reality is they can take any actor and shave his head or put a bald cap on him.”

I don't have a problem with Affleck as Batman but it really is some bad news that the Man of Steel sequel will be a co-starring film with Batman. It was cool that we got a new version of Zod and NOT another Luthor interpretation. So I was hoping we'd get maybe Brainiac in this next one, or Bizarro, Mongul, the Legion of Super Villains, whatever. Not The Dark Knight Meets Superman.

After watching Dredd, I'm more convinced that it should have gone to Urban.

I don't think its bad news at all. I have wanted a World's Finest movie for the longest time. Who says they can't still use Brainiac or Bizzaro or any other Superman villain? We don't really know how much screen time Batman is actually going to get in this. He could just be there to set up the Justice League/DC Cinematic Universe.

It seems it originally would have gone to Urban but he couldn't do it because of that TV series he signed on to prior to being offered the role.

This.

There is very little chance they would do open casting auditions for major characters like the Justice League. If this rumor is true, it would be for a relatively minor character.

Also, the idea of Batman and Wonder Woman dating is just beyond stupid. Its worse than Superman and Wonder Woman dating in the New 52.

They, like many sites of that nature, can be right a lot of the time..but they were also wrong a shit ton as well.
