Exactly. Folks seem to want their heroes wearing rainbow brite colors, which would look lame. It doesn't fit the universe created here. They need to get over it.

He looks great and just like the comics but they could have least make the skin color a bit brighter. That outfit is way too dark.

This I do agree with. The muted colors have never really bothered me and frankly for live action look better than bright comic colors that are better suited for printed media. I've been fine with most of the costumes until Aquaman. The only one that wasn't my favorite before it was Batman's just because I don't like the gigantic Bat emblem and short ears but overall it isn't that bad. Superman and Wonder Woman having more muted colors is fine. I just feel like Aquaman isn't even the same character and has basically been completely re-invented for this film.

Guys, I know Taffer is maddening (I had my own experience with him in a Star Wars thread), but he really seems like someone that's walking the edge. I would hope nothing bad happens to the guy. I wish him the best.

Yeah. It's a thread about what is pretty much a Justice League movie and he's giving a bit of info about the Green Lantern color spectrum lanterns. If anything it made me wonder how WB/DC would have handled the Green Lantern story with their movie universe. If the idea of rainbow Lanterns seemed a little silly in the comic book how would they do it in the movies where everything is grim and gritty and they're muting the whole color palette.



But we shouldn't be treating this forum like we're still in elementary school. I don't think Taffer posting some JLA-related comic book trivia in a JLA movie thread is asking to be mocked. I don't think RocShemp's comment was worth getting upset over either. However, I understand that sometimes people have a bad day/bad week and when they get online to discuss their interests or hobbies with others, only to get ridiculed, it can be frustrating.

You gotta admit it was funny that you started your post about "no vortex" and then you took someone's joke about Snyder's aversion to colors as an opening to discuss the color spectrum of the Lanterns. The leap made it appear as if you took his comment literally. It was just funny.

Well, I sent a PM to taffer, urging him to come back. I think everyone else should do the same. We may tease the hell out of him but he's a geek and that's naught but a good thing. Especially when it comes to comic books. Let's face it, the guy has likely forgotten more than any of us know about comics.

I've noticed pretty regularly in any comic book movie thread; there's only so many times one can post pictures of how Aquaman is cool and about Squirrel Girl before folks notice a pattern and start pointing out. It's not necessarily a bad thing in spurts at all, and often informative, but if you're going to proclaim your own obsession with comic books you're going to get some jabs and jokes at your expense and be expected to deal with it.

Although honestly, I didn't think the whole vortex joke was anything that mean spirited and it's a shame he took it that way.
