Thank you. I was just going to mention those.

I guess the reason it bothers me is that this movie is supposed to be a direct follow-on to the previous one. In that movie, time was taken during the story to point out that the suit was a "gift" from Kal-El's dead hologram dad, not something he made himself.

With that premise, and the fact that the events in the new movie take place shortly after the events of the previous movie (or so we all assume), a costume change - especially one that doesn't alter the usefulness of the suit, just it's look - becomes more puzzling.

That was my first reaction as well. The lack of color makes the world look excessively bleak. Everything looks lifeless.

But is it necessary? Other than nitpickers needing to talk about something in the meantime (since this movie is 2 years away), who amongst the general public will notice and even if they do, care.

As for the change in Batman Forever, the explanation was necessary only because the other suits were destroyed, so obviously they needed to explain why he has a different suit on for the finale.

Now, the explanation needed was for its follow-up, Batman & Robin! After all these years, still WTF...

Glad they only made subtle changes to the suit. I like the big S, but hopefully the smaller one will still look good once we get a better look at it.
