He's had some work done so he looked really different in PR. Here's what he used to look like:

Never heard of David vs Goliath I take it.

Prime could climb on the Jaegers and rip out their circuits before they could get out of their stupid fighting stance.

Comparing a 7" being to a 6'4" person is silly. Unless you have Jaeger like strength or weapons, it's a stupid analogy. A normal human has no chance at taking on even a miniaturization of Optimus Prime. Bigger does not always trump in fights.

^ Well this has gone to a whole new level of nerdy.

And unless Prime is tapping into a nuclear power source that's multiplied by some ridiculous form of fusion akin to the flimsy explanation for the power plant in The Matrix, he has no firepower to match the bottom of a Jaeger's foot. Even a super slow Jaeger like Cherno Alpha would stomp Optimus Prime into crunchy metal bits.

It's the one from the latest season where the Gang is at the McPoyle family reunion thing. He plays one of the family members.

Only if Prime was a cripple. Optimus has a blade that can cut through any metal. He'd chop of those legs, and then the Jaeger would be completely vunerable.

If a Jaeger was in a fight with any of the following, who would win?

Gundam

Gigantor

Goku (from Dragon Ball Z)

Re: Pacific Rim (del Toro, 2013) — The Reviews Thread

We saw it yesterday and brought the grandson and we all enjoyed it. I would classify it a s a good popcorn movie on a rainy weekend. Basically it was Big Brothers of Transformers vs Cloverfield & Friends on a larger more CGI filled screen.

Movie - 3.5 Stars
Sound - 5 Stars
Visual - 4 Stars
Acting - 2 Stars

Probably get it but either used or when it hits $14 or under....and grandson loved it.

That said, any Gundam from Gundam Wing would lose since all the pilots from that show were a bunch of emo pussies that were more concerned with crying and posturing than fighting.

The classic Gundams however would put up a great fight and just might win. Assuming, of course, that they're equal size to the Jaegers.

Looks like there won't be a director's or extended cut on Blu-ray:

http://blogs.indiewire.com/theplayli...dings-20130715

...Del Toro has admitted that his friend and filmmaker Alejandro Gonzalez I๑แrritu helped him cut ten minutes out of the movie, don't expect a longer version on the eventual DVD.

"This is my director’s cut. There will not be an extended cut right now, we’re not planning on it, but there will be deleted scenes and they were deleted for a reason," he said, adding that he'll be recording the commentary soon but that this DVD extras as a whole might be leaner, because the "DVD and Blu-ray market is shrinking so we can’t be as extravagant as we were with other discs in the past."

And it also sucks that it won't be a fully loaded set due to the physical media market shrinking. Fuuuuuuuuuuuuck.

^ I have a funny feeling the leaner extras has more to do with WB/Legendary not wanting to pour more money into this specific film rather than the issues with the physical media market in general.

I hope so. It just filled me with dread reading GDT say that. Imagine if Criterion put out a special edition of Pacific Rim? Forget about it!

Wow, if they did that they'd be laughed at harder than when they put out The Rock and Armageddon.

Not really. Armageddon did that already and CC seemed to have recovered nicely since.

The only market that even offers extras or director's is through physical media. This is stupid rationale to balk at presenting a good home video product. . I will wait to buy it dirt cheap after it's been out for six months or so.

No you won't. You can front all you want but we know damn well you're gonna buy within 2 weeks of release.

I agree with Rockshemp. This is probably due to the Legendary/WB split.

Wrong. It was a perfect performance. You must not have actually watched the movie.

No, I've watched enough Japanese movies to learn that that entire culture has a problem with overacting.

I wasn't surprised to find out she's an actual Japanese child star. It explains so much.

I thought the little girl's whimpers were annoying too. Definitely seemed typical of Japanese or Anime movies.
