Your favorite J.J. Abrams film - or none of the above

Since he seems to have the keys to the kingdom with Star Wars and Star Trek, what's your fave movie he's done so far - or do you not care for him at all? And why you like him or no like him?

I only hate him because I confuse him with that hack Joss Whedon sometimes.

I've liked every thing he's done. Super 8 is my favorite of his. I like it when he makes "smaller" movies however, now that he's got the keys to the Star Wars kingdom I don't see that happening any time soon.

As far as his feature films, I'd rank them:
1. Super 8
2. Star Trek Into Darkness
3. Star Trek
4. Mission Impossible 3

Fringe.

Even though he only directed the pilot and served as a producer for the rest of it's run...LOST.

Cloverfield was impressive for the brilliant marketing campaign and for introducing Matt Reeves.

I really don't care for his feature film work thus far.

Super 8 was pretty dreadful even as an outright homage to Spielberg.

For some reason I never watched his TV shows, but as far as feature films go I've enjoyed both Star Trek movies, MI3 was very solid, and Super 8 was decent. From what I've seen, he does good work.

The pilot of Alias (which he directed) is still better than most spy movies.

I wasn't a fan of either "Alias" or "Lost", and the 2009 "Star Trek" reboot sucked, but "Mission Impossible III" was okay. Its still the lowest rung on the series' ladder, but I'm thankful it wasn't any worse.

Star Trek was the best. It's one of those movies where almost every moment evokes emotion. Haven't seen Start Trek Into Darkness yet.

The guy has solid work ethic (or so I hear). I can appreciate that he's built his own style. But I don't get overly excited about his movies.

Looking forward to what happens with Star Wars. But that's because it's Star Wars, and like where the production is going (with Ford on board and whatnot).

He's just not a director that I get excited about. Yet.

Fringe, followed by Star Trek 2009.

Good to see some people voting for Super 8. My favorite is Star Trek 09 but Super 8 would be right behind it.
