There's no way I can do a list like this. I did try, but when I got up into the mid to late 80s, there were just too many movies for each year to pick one as a favorite. It's like trying to pick which Playboy Bunny you want to throw in a wood chipper. She might not be your FAVORITE favorite, but hell, she's still nice to look at. Plus, there would be that pesky Murder One thing.

Thanks. I remember a lot of discussion around THE LONG KISS GOODNIGHT at the time it came out because HK buffs thought it was the closest a Hollywood film had yet come (outside of John Woo) to capturing the Hong Kong style.
