Your TOP 10 COMEDIES of all time ...

List the movies that actually made you laugh. Exclude movies that you may like and are designated by Hollywood as comedies, but don't necessarily make you laugh the most. Movies like Groundhog Day or Trading Places (both of which I love) are designated comedies, but they don't really make me laugh. Please only list the movies that were the funniest to you.

1) Monty Python and the Holy Grail
2) Animal House
3) Caddyshack
4) Ted
5) Stripes
6) Happy Gilmore
7) The Jerk
8) Vacation
9) Liar,Liar
10) A Shot in the Dark

the last part of the list is probably up for change if I remember some other movies or watch some other comedies. but the first part is probably set in stone for the rest of my life.

The best comedies are the ones where you remember the lines...

This is Spinal Tap "Here Lies David St. Hubbins...and why not?"

My Favorite Year "I think Alan Swann is beneath us." "Of course he's beneath us. He's an actor!"

Planes, Trains and Automobiles "Her first baby come out sideways. She didn't scream or nuthin."

Blazing Saddles "Unfortunately, there's one thing standing between my and that property: the rightful owners."

Quick Change "It's bad luck just seein' a thing like that!"

Play It Again, Sam "My parents never got divorced...although I begged them to."

Raising Arizona "So many social engagements, so little time."

Blues Brothers "We got two honkies out there dressed like Hassidic diamond merchants."

Monty Python and the Holy Grail "'Tis but a flesh wound!"

Lost in America "The Nest Egg Principle, as we will know call it. In the first of many lectures you will have to get!"

Groundhog Day
Duck Soup
The World According to Garp
Bad Santa
Buck Privates Come Home

Spies Like Us
The Jerk
Trading Places
Office Space
Groundhog Day
Airplane
Young Frankenstein
40 Year Old Virgin
American Pie
Three Amigos

List in no real order, and is subject to change. I have a lot more 80's movies than I thought I would, and a lot more old Saturday Night Live cast.

I forgot about Naked Gun! Particularly, Naked Gun 2 for me. Since it's two and a half, I'll add it to the end of my list and make it 10 and a half.
