An early Sam Raimi-directed tv spot
This was one of the first tv spots I ever wrote. This was around 1995, several years before Raimi's Spiderman films. I was already a Raimi fan so when he practically begged to direct my spot, I remember my head spinning. He really wanted his brother Ted to be in it as well as his good buddy Bruce Campbell. I remember initially rejecting his idea of Bruce Campbell because I thought he was too young to play an experienced lab supervisor, so Sam put a fake mustache on him and added some grey to his hair. I actually spent most of the down time on shoot day sitting and talking with Ted. He and Sam were two of the nicest guys I've ever met. What a fun time that was.

Re: An early Sam Raimi-directed tv spot
Post-Army of Darkness can't be considered an "early" Sam Raimi anything.
OTOH, congrats on having a cool job |
