You're thinking of The Man with the Iron Fists probably. The way Tarantino's name was displayed on posters and the like lead some to think it was directed by him:
Pixar did include "from the creators of Finding Nemo, Up, Wall-E" in one of its trailers for Brave:

I think Pixar normally tends to do that on films with new premises, and not sequels or such where they can depend on people remembering the original film. For example, the Monsters University Trailer doesn't have that sort of credit, while the trailer for Up does.

I voted for all of them, because they're overused beyond reason. Studios should let films stand on their own merit, instead of hyping them up with one name or another.
