A roundup of critical zingers:

http://blogs.indiewire.com/thompsono...itics-20150819

"If 'The Bourne Identity' and 'Resident Evil' hooked up back in 2002, this is the baby that one of them would bring to the doorstep of the other, begging them to take it."

Yikes, 5%? it appears this is even worse than the original. Poor Rupert, hope this doesn't derail his career.

So far after 25 reviews, this is the lone fresh one:

"The less time one spends worrying about the plot, the more enjoyment can be garnered from this new Hitman."

Re: Hitman: Agent 47 -- D: Aleksander Bach, S: Rupert Friend (2015)

Easily worst movie of 2015 for me - horrible CG during action scenes that easily could have been done practically, nonsense plotting, filled with scenes that go absolutely nowhere and have no baring on the story. I love Rupert Friend on Homeland but here he is bland as hell, the lead girl is horrendous and Quinto is at least having fun but has NOTHING to do. Also of weird note, the first half if very PG-13 and then it shifts into R mode with more blood and F-bombs, as if partway through editing they decided to just go for it but didn't bother to re-edit the front half of the film.

A funny tidbit, got a Fitbit this week, saw 3 movies wearing it - it registered 90 minutes of this movie as me BEING ASLEEP (I was not). Real exciting movie right here.

I'm going to wait for the Blu-ray. The guys that did the stunt work for John Wick did the stunt work here from what I was told.

Yes, I did. In fact, the last two movies I saw this past week were this and Fantastic Four. Fox should be ashamed to be making movies that feel/look like junk from the early 90s.

I technically had free passes for FF and saw everything else that was out. What can you do. In FF's case I wanted to see how crappy it was for myself.

Holy shit was this bad, even for a video game movie. It actually made me appreciate the first movie even more.

Just finished watching this aside from a few creative and bloody kills it was quite awful. I actually dug the first one before it was cool to hate on it. This one, however, is a no.
