Greedo was the name I struggled and failed to come up with.

Holy shit, I thought I'd be the only one who remembered IG-88.

Not Sheepish, but this is a good answer

Oddly enough he was the first one that came to mind. I remember my Star Wars nerd brother in law talking about him once and I had to ask him who the hell he was talking about. Name stuck with me for some reason.

I remembered Bossk but I forgot his name. Luckily the Sheep answer was clearly remembered. :D

Mother effer. I had IG-88 and changed that one too. Dammit.

I've got a bad feeling about this.

I know what you mean. It NEVER occurred to me that Greedo was a bounty hunter. I figured IG-88 would crush, hence my use of a slam dunk (obviously he still did well). And to think I was debating between him and Zam Wessell. Dodged a bullet on that one.

edit: woah! Mordred completely changed his post in the time between me reading it and clicking "quote," thus my response making no sense. Nothing to see here. Move along...

I just read the wookiepedia article and still have no idea who the F IG-88 is

How in the heck does IG-88 get more votes than Greedo? Greedo is the one everyone knows due to the whole "Greedo shooting first/Han shooting first" controversy.

Amen brother, amen. That's why I changed my answer.

With The Phantom Menace answer to #1 and now this one, I'm losing faith in my fellow DVDtalkers.

It just slipped my mind that Greedo was a bounty hunter.

I always just thought of Greedo as Jabba's goon and not as a bounty hunter. When I hear bounty hunter I immediately think of the scene pictured above from Empire and in my perceived hierarchy of the bounty hunters IG-88 is second only to Boba Fett.

Re: A Long Time Ago.... Star Wars Sheep

I never knew the other bounty hunters names and only remembered Bossk because I was given that action figure as a gift. Greedo just slipped my mind.

Mordred 01-30-13 01:00 PM

Re: A Long Time Ago.... Star Wars Sheep

I couldn't think of a single non-Fett bounty hunter and then I remembered one of my favorite action figures:

Re: A Long Time Ago.... Star Wars Sheep

I was about to give up and just guess a Fett until Greedo came to mind. I guess it should have been more obvious, but I was mostly picturing the scene that wishbone posted and not coming up with any of those names.

FWIW, I believe Greedo is classified as a bounty hunter in Lego Star Wars. :D

The way we're going these results will not make the Kessel Run in less than twelve parsecs.

Re: A Long Time Ago.... Star Wars Sheep

I almost put Bossk too, and then I remembered there's all kinds of fanboy love for IG-88 for some reason. Greedo didn't even occur to me, probably because I was mainly thinking of the scene with all the bounty hunters and Vader in Empire.

Spoiler:
Sterling Ben answered Episode I final vs Darth Maul. Since he did not specify who the other combatants were. I had to go with the final battle vs Maul which was Darth Maul vs. Obi-Wan

I would maintain that the final battle of Episode 1 starts with Qui Gon & Obi Wan and finishes with Obi Wan, I am not sure how you would really count those as 2 separate battles. No one leaves and comes back, sure there is a bit of meditation in the middle but still one battle.

Trekkie, get him!

Also damn, IG-88 was my first answer but like about I thought he was too obscure. To the poster saying EU is garbage, check out some of the IG-88 stuff.

Yeah, I recall IG-88's story being pretty damn solid. And in the sea of mediocrity that is the EU, that is high praise.
