From Slashfilm: Kevin Smith has just announced that he and Jason Mewes will be touring their new movie, Jay & Silent Bob’s Super Groovy Cartoon Movie, this Spring. Much like he did with his thriller Red State, Smith will take the film to theaters followed by a lively Q&A’s with plenty of surprises. A trailer and official dates will be out in February.

I would love to attend a Q&A as well. It's kind of like stand-up except it's just someone who considers himself a regular guy telling stories about the entertainment industry.

I remember several years ago when I criticized Smith for not trying his hand outside the view askew/ Jay and Silent Bob universe. Boy was I wrong!

Saw a clip from the movie that was released a month or so ago (unless that was just test footage). It was not funny at all. I'm a Smith fan from Clerks to Smodcast but it was awful.

I like Kevin Smith, but really wish he'd kick Jason Mewes back out to the curb. Smith is talented and funny...Mewes is not, and when they're together, Smith isn't either.

I watched Jay and Silent Bob Get Old: Tea Bagging in the UK and really found it tough to sit through. Mewes definitely dragged Smith down considerably.

I was all set to get tickets until I saw the price. I know it comes with a Q & A, but I think I'll just listen to the SMODcast and Netflix it sometime down the road.
