Non-Stop (2014) D: Collet-Serra; S: Neeson, Moore, Mount, Dockery

http://i1274.photobucket.com/albums/...ps26acbd00.jpg

"He’s been a Jedi master, a wilderness survivor and a man with a particular set of skills. Now, Liam Neeson will put all (or at least some) of those skills to the test as he toplines the airplane thriller, Non-Stop. Via Joel Silver’s Dark Castle Entertainment, Non-Stop is a self-contained thrill ride that takes place on board an international flight. Neeson is in negotiations to play an aging air marshal who faces a threat during said flight, and probably eliminates it swiftly and with extreme prejudice. Hit the jump for more on Non-Stop.

Variety reported on Neeson’s negotiations to join Non-Stop. When last we reported on the project, which was picked up by Warner Bros. as a spec script from first-time writers John Richardson and Chris Roach, it was to tell you that Non-Stop would be directed by Jeff Wadlow (Never Back Down). The picture will be financed and produced through Dark Castle, while Warner Bros will distribute.

This marks a reunion of sorts for Neeson and Dark Castle, after their last collaboration on 2011′s Unknown. Neeson, who can be seen in theaters currently in Wrath of the Titans and later this year in Battleship. He is also reportedly circling a role as Lyndon B. Johnson in Lee Daniels’ The Butler."

I've enjoyed watching Liam Neeson's evolution into a total badass. Not many actors peak in their 50s/60s.

Love it! There are many asses that need kicking.

I don't suppose we can expect an A-Team sequel though. :(

Hopefully not, that movie is dreadful.

Wow, he's becoming as much of a one-note wonder as Jason Statham.

I think Liam Neeson kicking ass should be categorized as a genre in of itself.

I'll be there. And Wadlow has been getting some big jobs lately. Nice.

If he's still in negotiations, what's the screenshot from?

Just a normal Tuesday for Neeson.

I love the A-Team film - the director's cut since that one is technically 2 adventures in one.

The story was older, the pic is legit.

I hope it's a good movie cuz the last time I saw Neeson kicking ass in a good movie was A-Team. Unknown didn't attract me and Taken 2 looked like shit thanks to Megatron. Damn you, Decepticons.

Is this the TRUE sequel to Passenger 57 that we've all been waiting for?

Unknown was a good movie but the trailer is a lie.
Spoiler:
Liam Neeson doesn't really kick ass and even has to be rescued at the end of the movie by a character that in any other movie would be the helpless sidekick.

That or Executive Decision. I just hope Neeson doesn't end up with the same amount of screentime as Seagall.

I won't argue that The A-Team is any sort of great film but I still enjoyed the hell out of it. Everyone seemed to legitimately be having a great time filming that movie and it shows through on screen. I can't help but be pulled into the enjoyment myself when I watch it!

I'd be down for the new movie if they got Alan Silvestri to do the score by just updating this soundtrack a little:

....how does the DC add another adventure? It only adds a few minutes. I've the the BD and I've only seen the TC (on BD and at theaters) does the DC make that much of a difference? I've yet to hit the DC on my BD.

Fuck. I just forgot about it. I own it on BD, just got it during BF week. Gorgeous BD. Carnahan really knows how to use Neeson. And it seems Neeson like Carnahan too. Great team there. I await their next film, if one happens.

The extended cut is almost 19 minutes longer and is overall a far more satisfying version of the movie.

Here are the differences:

45 changes, containing
25 extended scenes
13 additional scenes
6 extended scenes containing alternative footage
1 scene containing removed audio censorship

The Extended Cut runs 1133,4 Sec. / approximately 18 minutes 54 seconds longer than the Theatrical Version.

The DC is LONG ass fuck. That first adventure is about 35-40% of the film before the second caper kicks in. It's a packed film.

I've never watched the TC version, so can't comment on that. The DC for me only.

Nope. It's very matter-o-fact and fits right in.

The Dwight Schultz cameo got changed but for the worse. He did a "funny faces" gag in the TC and instead just has a very dry cameo in the EC. That's the only thing I prefer in the TC over the EC. But the alternate cameo is part of a much better re-intro for Murdock.
