Demons (1985)
Small nitpicks aside, I absolutely love this film.

This is GWAR (2021)
Though it runs a bit long, this incredibly thorough documentary charts the ups & downs of GWAR's 30-year career.
Highly recommend for fans of the band.

Hellbender (2021)
Beautifully shot on a low-budget and packed with fun/inventive FX work.
Unfortunately, the plot is a bit thin making the film a bit of a slog to traverse through.

The War of the Worlds (1953) — Not great in terms of the script, acting or the abrupt ending, the practical effects were impressive and a lot of fun with the Martian ships flying and causing mayhem and destruction. I can imagine this wowed audiences back in '53. ***/**** (4K UHD)

When Worlds Collide (1951) — Entertaining enough apocalyptic disaster film from the 1950s has some absolutely adorable miniatures and one awful matte painting at the end. Still, has its moments and the acting at least was passable. **¾/***** (Blu-ray)

Star Trek The Final Frontier
Still an underrated film, the hate it gets isn't warranted. It has the best character moments of all the films.
Star Trek The Undiscovered Country
A great send off to the original crew and a good set up for TNG.

Nowwhere near as bad as the Rotten Tomatoes reviews and had some funny moments but not a great movie.

Question: if you had to rate it, fresh or rotten, which would it be?

Hulu
Ashley Benson is hot but can't act for shit
Slow and boring and the end is not really a big payoff.
It felt like it should have been a Lifetime movie or a late night direct to cable offering.

Pearl (2022)
Although I didn't find the plot as engaging as X (2022), Mia Goth's performance is (once again) fantastic.
Also of note is Eliot Rockett's cinematography and Tyler Bates & Tim Williams' score, all of which are wonderful.

Barbarian (2022)
One of the better Horror films to have been released in recent years, though I wish the entire film played out as strongly as its first half.

Don't Worry Darling (2022)
While the film is well-made, it doesn't offer anything particular that hasn't been seen in other similar films.
Florence Pugh holds up most of the film but parts of her performance feel like recycled bits from Midsommar (2019).

Poltergeist… a classic horror film for a reason. But, why didn’t Spielberg direct? In that 7 minute making of he seemed like he was calling the shots. Saw Hooper once. Anyway in todays market that’s a PG-13 movie all the way.
True Lies…high energy, Arnold having fun and great music. Love this one. Hulu does the HD respectfully.

Netflix rental
Scorsese makes one movie every 8 years and we get 10 Marvel movies per year

BTW Rachel McAdams is hotter than Elizabeth Olson.
