Re: Last Movie You Watched Thread

I watched Bull (2021) a couple of nights ago. It's a revenge-thriller of the breed we have seen a thousand times, with a laconic antihero violently laying waste to every baddie in sight, but this one was above average.

HBO

Interesting premise and wish I could have access to those pills

I debated if I should buy this and still on the fence.

^ And if you don't remember, which wouldn't be a surprise since it was short-lived, there was a connected TV series (Cooper, who was an exec producer, made a couple appearances).

I remember and looked it up on google.

What was storyline when Cooper made those guest appearances?

Starz

I am a big NFL fan but feel guilty sometimes after watching this.

This was the Oscar worthy role for Smith and he lost himself in the character and did not see Will Smith in it unlike his other roles.

I hope this asshole lost his license

When the Tea Leoni character died I could enjoy the movie more

Back in 2002 when Tucker Carlson was on CNN and Regis and Larry King existed which now seems like a long time ago.

Interesting to watch now when in 2006 Michael Shannon was just emerging and not the big star he is today and now he is in more movies compared to Ashley Judd.

Did they have a valid point or just mental?

Re: Last Movie You Watched Thread

A movie with Ben Foster, Peter Sarsgaard, Danny Devito, John Leguizamo, and Vicky Krieps in a movie directed by Barry Levinson and a score with Hanz Zimmer did not get a big theatrical release?

I liked it and thought it was well done and worth a watch and Ben Foster excelled in his role as the lead.

The Movie Channel

Directed by Pablo Larrian

Mostly subtitles if you have the patience for that and some intense sex scenes

Wild Things (1998) — Delightfully sleazy and trashy 1990s erotic-thriller that has everything you want from the genre but also a pretty engaging plot underneath it all. Great performances from Kevin Bacon, Matt Dillon, Neve Campbell and Denise Richards. This is a movie I've seen several times over the years, the latest in glorious 4K, and it never gets old. ****/***** (4K Ultra HD)

Re: Last Movie You Watched Thread

Cursed (2005) — Seems like an apt title for everything that happened behind the scenes. If not for Justice League (which cost $250M+), this might be the poster child of what happens when a studio messes around with a project. Honestly I really hope one day we get a documentary and even some footage of the various cuts and actors who were removed. As for the movie itself, it's surprising that it at least was watchable though hardly good. **½/***** (Shout Factory Blu-ray)
